May Hive Power Up Day, 2k LEO Power and Monthly Goals

As usual, the first of the month is it means it's time for another Hive Power Up Day. So it's time to check up on my goals and make sure to set my next month's goal.

Hive Power Up Day

More information about Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) can be found at the May HPUD by "@"traciyork. Last month was a little less than the month before as I gained around 160 HP. It looks like author rewards are down and it was less than I expected so I may have to look into making posts more often. This is something that I wanted to work on instead of just commenting so much.

My current HP before powering up is 2,997 HP and I plan on powering up 25 HIVE again this month. The results of this can be seen in the picture below and here is the transaction link.

Follow up on my Saturday Saver's Challenge for 2022 and you can see the third addition of 31.65 HBD. My interest date is still off but the APR did increase to 20% so I will be earning more from my savings. This extra increase made me more motivated to deposit more HBD into my savings and you can see that I invested an extra 150 HBD.

Here I will set my goals for the month and review my previous month's goals.

Here I will review the goals I set for my April goals.

I staked the 100 LEO I needed to reach 2k Leo Power and I have achieved 2k Leo Power. It's been exactly 10 months since I got 1k because I have been sending some LEO over to CubFinance and PolyCUB each month. Khal also started sending out some LEO for engagement rankings so I might start powering up some extra LEO starting next month.

I did not keep track of my comment count but I know that I have been doing above 50 per day on average so I am above my goals. The rest of the gaming goals were met without too much of an issue. Besides that, I didn't buy my INDEX. I placed a low order hoping to be filled at the start of the month. A few days ago, I reset the order to be a higher price but people have already started to place higher-priced orders. So I will keep the order open and see what happens next month.

I did my monthly CUB add and I choose the xPolygon vault. With the airdrop starting to close up, I think it's the proper time to actually invest some LEO over there. Most of the development has been happening over there even if prices have dipped significantly.

May goals

I will just use the monthly goals as usual because I haven't set any yearly goals.

  1. 3 Blog Posts a week (Actifit does not count for this)
  2. 1,000 comments for the month
  3. 3,000 HP
  4. 2,150 Leo Power Staked (add 150 LEO)
  5. Buy 10 UTOPIS
  6. Invest at least 200 LEO to the CUB related Defi platforms
  7. Maintain top 75 ranks in Rising Star
  8. Finish Splinterlands quest daily

The reasoning for these can be found in my January goals. For the most part, I just plan on continuing these goals as they seem manageable. From my previous month's update on goals, I did not manage to get my INDEX so I plan on buying 10 UTOPIS for now.

Conclusion

I am excited to see the HBD interest rate go up to 20% and for the pHBD/USDC pool to appear on PolyCUB. Both of these will help HBD and it shows some potential for HBD to be a good stablecoin. I invested some extra HBD into my savings because of it. At the same time, I powered up and set my goals for the upcoming month.
