Sometimes you just want a change and it's fine to do so. I am sorry for hearing about the bad things that happened.
As for music, I honestly have never cared about it too much. Of course, so long as it fits or it isn't that far out of place, I will listen to anything. I am so used to playing games and if I started hating that, I don't know what I would do.
