I would say that it is a good idea for you to move away from Mint Mobile if they have been acquired. There is no reason for them to offer you anything different from T-Mobile and the pricing might not stay the same either. I have stuck with the major cell providers just because it's simpler so I don't have much to say about MVNOs.
