I think it's a lot simpler and I can drain down my battles for the day. At the same time, the disadvantage of fighting under 50% ECR is no longer there. So I think it's easier for me to decide when I can change the timing of my focus quests. The old system favored people fighting at higher ECR because the you do less fights if you were to do so.
