The new Saturday's Saver Challenge is to save backwards for 100 days. I plan on participating this time around using HIVE instead of HBD so I can tell the difference between my normal Saturday's Saver challenge.

Saturday Saver's Club

Original Challenge

The original challenge can be seen below and it can be found here. We will start saving a small amount everyday and increase that amount. By doing so we can save a decent amount over the course of a year.

Backwards Challenge

Rather than start from the smallest amount everyday, we will start from the biggest amount and drop that down to the smallest amount. It was suggested in the new challenge that it would be helpful because you don't need to worry about having enough towards the end. The challenge can be separated into 2 parts below:

Part 1: Make a post by 9am UTC on Saturday 24 April 2021 with a commitment to saving backwards for 100 days and

Part 2: Make a post by 9am UTC on Saturday 31 July 2021 with the results of your 100 days of saving backwards (don't worry, I'll remind you nearer the time).

This challenge starts on April 24th so you still have time to participate and participants will be entered into a draw for LBI, SPI and EDS tokens. Make sure to use the tags #saturdaysavers and #eds.

For my challenge, I have decided to power up 1 HIVE on day 1 all the way to 0.01 HIVE on Day 100. This will net me 50.5 HP at the end of my challenge in my savings. But the plus side is that I will also be gaining an extra 3% on my HP and curation rewards. Compounding these gains will net me more HIVE in the long run and I believe it is well worth it. I made a spread sheet below for me to keep track of my progress.

Saturday's Saver Challenge Status

As of currently, I have finished Day 18 of my challenge and my total 0.171 HBD in my savings accounts. I have put my transaction above and below I have my current savings. The HBD in my savings gets a 3% interest and there is a chance that this interest rate my increase in the following proposal.
