Well the first of the month is obviously another Hive Power Up Day. August was really busy and my commenting went down quite a bit but I still have enough HIVE to power up each month. A few unexpected things happened so some goals were achieved and others were not. However I still plan on making monthly goals to push me towards doing things.

Splinterlands is still pushing up the price of HIVE and the amount of HIVE leaving the exchanges is also just as huge. According to this post, 25 million HIVE left the exchanges. I am unsure if the HIVE was leaving because of the lack of resource credits or if people are taking advantage of the arbitrage of HBD being above the $1.05 upper peg.

I would also like to note that there is a challenge going on for this month in the @leomarkettalk. You can feel free to see the commenting giveaway and see if you wish to participate. The goal is 10k comments over the course of September and I am hoping to increase my engagement this month to make up for my previous few months.

Hive Power Up Day

More information about Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) can be found at the September HPUD by @traciyork. If you don't have enough HIVE to participate, you can also choose to participate in the Hive Powerup Month.

I was able to achieve my HP goal last month and surpassed it by a bit. Of course I don't think I earned 200 HP but I guess my lack of time could of also contributed to it. Either way I am growing and the price of HIVE is looking quite good recently as it is up from 40 cents last month to 56 cents now.

My current HP (shown above) before powering up is around 1,1415 HP and I plan to power up 25 HIVE. The results of this can be seen in the picture below and here is the transaction link. I decided to power up 25 HIVE just like last month because I think this number is sustainable in my opinion. I did convert some of my HBD into HIVE but most of my HBD stayed as HBD.

I have decided to push myself a bit more because I want to catch up to date with the other people in the Saturday Saver's Challenge and put way more HBD into my savings. I think one of the reasons that pushed me to do so was because I want to take advantage of getting more HBD in the savings. The current APR on it is 10% and it could go up depending on what the witnesses do. So according to my math and what day we were on, it seems we are on day 242. So I will do a transfer to also add the extra days as I have enough HBD reserves.

September Goals

As usual, I based my monthly goals based on my yearly goals and how well I did during the previous month. Last month's goal can be found in my August Hive Power Up Day It's too bad UTOPIS there is no longer a sell wall at 3.5 HIVE so I don't know if I will really choose UTOPIS as my choice this month. However I see that LBI is looking quite nice since prices are down.

Token Goals

I think I will definitely surpass my yearly goals. Although that SPORTS goal is getting tougher since I have been spending less time on that front-end.

  1. Increase my HP to 1350 HP (currently 1440)
  2. Increase my staked SPORTS to 2.25M (currently 2M)
  3. Increase my LBI holdings to 200 (currently 119)
  4. Invest 200 LEO into Cub Finance

Just like last month, I had to power up some SPORTS to reach that SPORTS goal from last month but the dividends are slowly starting to make up for some of the SPORTS I am missing out. I currently have 1 million SPORTS delegated out to the engagement project. This will help spur engagement on the SPORTS front-end.

Well I like LBI and I like how prices are down. In fact, I sold some LEO as I was writing this post and actually just bumped my holdings to 200. It's still one of my goals and I did achieve it in September but it's pretty much done now. So LBI is actually worth less than 1 LEO each on Hive Engine so it seems like a no brainer.

I don't plan on making a staked LEO goal because I accidently staked all my LEO last month. Unfortunately this means I was unable to move my monthly LEO add to CubFinance and I think I have more than enough LEO staked to make up for this month. To make up for this, I did move 50k DEC from Splinterlands into the DEC/BUSD pool.

Gaming Goals

Splinterlands has been quite tough and I am having a hard enough time winning matches as people are renting out cards. I don't really bother to rent out cards so it's tough for me as my win rate has definitely dropped so any goals towards Splinterlands seem tough right now.

  1. Maintain top 75 rank in Rising Star
  2. 1,000 cards in Rising Star

Currently I am more or less in the 65-70 range for my Rising Star rank. My starbits earning has definitely been increasing and I earn more than enough to fund my giveaways each week. So I plan on trying to maintain my current rank range and also increase my cards to 1,000 which is a great milestone.
