Yesterday, I posted that I had taken the plunge and begun diversifying my crypto portfolio by buying RUNE. You can see the post here if you missed it.

Today, this post is more about HIVE really than RUNE itself, but I'll add some details and comments on my second buy this morning.

Firstly, here is a look at the price chart for RUNE, sourced from our good friends at @coingecko:

As you can see, RUNE has dropped over the last couple of days, with some profit taking seeming to be in order after recently hitting ATH. Its current market cap ranking is in the top 100, at 94 at the time of this post. The pull back is probably not a surprise, as the run up over the last 2 months has been impressive. The above 30 day chart doesn't tell the full story, with the run starting at around 10c 6 weeks ago.

Today I added 18 RUNE to my stake, to round it off at 50 RUNE. The funds today came from around 10 HIVE - from my daily income, and 19 BAT which came from my monthly earnings from using the Brave browser. I used the same process as my first buy yesterday, sending funds to Binance, exchanging to BNB, sending it to my Trust Wallet, exchanging to RUNE, staking via Runevault.

I will also note here that MXC is another exchange with RUNE available. I have never used it and don't know much about it. It has HIVE/USDT, and RUNE/USDT trading pairs, so I may look in to it as an alternative to Binance.

Has anyone out there used MXC? Is it any good? Would it work for small amounts like I am dealing with? Let me know in the comments below.

Mostly today, I want to talk about the opportunity that HIVE gives. Aside from anything else, HIVE gives normal people the opportunity to earn crypto. There are more and more ways to earn HIVE each day.

Where do I earn my HIVE income from:

  • @dcity - this is currently my biggest daily income, with around 7 HIVE per day from both direct HIVE and SIM income - despite the current high tax government in place.

  • @splinterlands - I earn around 500 DEC per day, pretty much 1 HIVE equivalent. Just from playing the game, doing the daily challenge and maybe selling some un-needed rewards cards.

  • @spinvest - this is a weekly payout, and mine is running around 10 HIVE per week.

  • GAMER - recently added GAMER tokens to my holdings, and it pays both HIVE and STEEM dividends. The amounts seem to vary and have to be claimed manually, but its another little income flow.

  • Tribes - Tribe curation gives another steady flow of income. With the awesome multiplier tool on the LEODex, creating a stream of multiple tribe tokens is not difficult. My biggest holding is LEO, and I earn around 20 LEO per day, equal to around 3.2 HIVE at current prices.

  • WORKERBEE - I bought 1,000 of these from my STEEM powerdowns, and occasionally earn BEE income. It varies from 0 some days to 2-3 on others.

  • HIVE Power: - Earning from Hive power through both delegation (Dlease and direct to curation projects), and through direct curation - approximately 2 HIVE per day.

So there you have it, 7 different ways to earn HIVE, none of which involve content creation. I didn't include this on this list as I have not really been posting much lately. I do plan to get back to more regular content, like these posts. Yes, HIVE is a blogging platform, but the above goes to show that there are many ways other than content creation to generate some income on HIVE.

Tomorrow I'll share some more info about RUNE and Thorchain itself, and see how much I can add to this investment.

Thanks for reading, have a great day,

@jk6276.
