There are projects using Atomic swaps, but cross-chain pools seem to be a better choice in my opinion. Not much else that is live or close to live that's truly decentralized and uses native tokens as far as I know (but I could be wrong).
I imagine that yes, there will be a BNB and ETH fee, once the bridge is open (very very soon), but BNB fees are very small compared to ETH.
