Alcohol has always been part of our society, we are talking about a beverage whose existence began around 7000 B.C. Consumed for different reasons, rituals, social gatherings, and relaxation. The question that comes to mind is whether we are abusing alcohol in the modern day or if it was this abused back in the old days as well.

I received a text message from a former neighbor last week, telling me she has been hospitalized and diagnosed with cancer. It was a shock for me, as she is a young lady in her early thirties.
I might be wrong but all I could relate to the cause of the cancer is the rate at which she consumes alcohol. Back then when she was my neighbor, alcohol consumption wasn't a weekend thing, it was rather almost daily, and when I chatted with her over it. The excuse was it helps her to de-stress.

Above is a Tweet that not only prompted me to write about this topic but it also portrays a positive message of what can be achieved by stopping alcohol abuse.
Some of us take our health for granted until it is too late while chasing all the fortunes and money in the world without good health, I don't see how we are going to enjoy life.

Last week Friday as early as 7 am while my project partner and I were driving to the site, I saw a lady with a bottle of beer in the street drinking and swearing that early in the day.
The same day on our way back very late around 11 pm, a drunk driver was driving in the wrong lane towards us facing oncoming traffic.

I find it baffling how people go on about weekends. For some, it is time to live life to the fullest through alcohol abuse. What happens to consuming alcohol moderately?

Plebs are finding it tough out there, putting food on the table and paying bills are getting tougher but they seem to always have the budget for alcohol.

Sometimes I wish I have the money they spend on alcohol so I can buy cryptocurrency for stacking.
We often complain about how things are tough financially but the little money we have is spent on things that are of no positive impact on our lives, the way and manner we spend the little we have is a reflection of how we are going spend when in possession of big sums of money.

Only if we can all get our priorities right, life will be a lot easier.

We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great
