How many Bitcoin do you have?
Bitcoin pulls all sorts of reactions and perceptions towards it. For some it is a scam, a bubble, digital gold, store of value amongst other perceptions of it.
One that got me thinking of late is the question I often get from some when we talk Bitcoin
How many Bitcoin do you have?
I was chatting with a friend about Bitcoin and Hive last Wednesday. I haven't seen her since 2019 so I couldn't recall if she knew I have been involved in crypto back then, so the moment I brought up the topic she was surprised am still involved in Bitcoin/Crypto.
The point is she's struggling financially, actually currently unemployed and while I encouraged her to keep job hunting, I wasn't going to be satisfied without sharing Hive with her so the crypto chat extended onto Bitcoin, you don't talk crypto without talking Bitcoin, do you?
First thing she asked me was how many Bitcoin do you have and I was like I currently don't have any because I sold mine due to financial need last year.
From a mindset point of view I was chatting with someone less keen about crypto so I dropped the subject.
Recalling my first encounter with Bitcoin, my first perception of Bitcoin wasn't about how many Bitcoin the the other person has, I can recall my perception being the bank in my pocket. At that time I recalled seeing the video Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It (Trailer) and I just like the idea. Basically there was a spark between myself and Bitcoin which further led me down the rabbit hole.
Sharing crypto with friends most of the time doesn't get me on the winning side but am still never discouraged sharing crypto with anyone who doesn't know crypto, I will keep sharing anyway.
Interesting side to sharing crypto with friends is I get to see how some think and process information they're getting for the first, are they going to develop interest or respond to me with the perception they've been fed by the media, it is always interesting to find out.
