It is amazing how things pans out in Splinterlands, when I started out, Death and Water was my best, I hated Life at all cost I would avoid it.

Now I avoid Death element if I could, I now enjoy Life and Water most and other elements basically. My Death deck isn't bad but the win rate is just low.

I've never come across the exploding rat before

Try using it at Equalizer ruleset so it gets more Health like every other monsters, the one health makes it a rarely used monster but it sure has it days when the ruleset favors it.
