This will likely be my last post on Hive.

It's been a good few years (including Steem) and one year (actually on Hive), but I no longer see the value in posting anymore.

I don't see why I should anymore, when my short D.buzz posts (before #projectblank is released) may be construed as lazy reward-grabbing.

Add value, the whales say, add value. If you post garbage, we're gonna give you 0.01% of our votes.

I understand the good intentions behind trying to deter "desperate $-hunting newbies" from spamming and trash-posting, but it assumes certain things:

Said person has to be posting such things JUST for the rewards and monetary gain. But no, not everyone is desperate and if Hive is truly another social media, people post trash (aka things of no value) on social media ALL THE TIME. No one is gonna stop some random account on Twitter and say you're trash posting, you're not adding value. People can post whatever they feel like posting.

Maybe there's a reason why people are still on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. They can relax, and not be so serious all the time.

If I always have to think whether my posts "add value" and is not "garbage" (in whose eyes?), then it becomes another JOB. Another chore on my laundry list of things to do.

No thanks, I would rather spend my free time actually enjoying myself.

That said, I still highly respect the works of @taskmaster4450 and others who treat Hive as a serious grind. I'll be a lurker, albeit a silent one.

Ciao.
