I prefer buying a house because when once you buy a house it is all yours and you do not have to pay additional fees in the future, the only thing which I assume may be required from you as times goes on, would be to renovate and maintain the building to your taste, but owning a house can be most difficult in some countries, like my country Nigeria, owning a house is not difficult and if you are to built a house maybe start your foundation yourself, which would still gives you the full ownership of that house, you would not be charged anything to built a house as far as the land is yours and you have the funds to stand a building you are free.

The only thing which you would do is that, depending on the location you want to built your house, the host community will come out and demands settlement of youth, which we see it as normal thing to be done here, the rural planning committee would also come, check the area and carry out some survey of the land then you are to pay for this duty, but to think of it, with the high price of cement nowadays people do not mostly built a house these days, I hardly seen it in my locality, the only ones whose tries to complete their house are the people that were already started the foundation, they know they can not leave it like that, it would be a waste of efforts and time so they rather want to complete it and park Inside their house.

Even with the high cost of building materials this days, I do not still support paying a rent because I used to imagine what about if your rent expired when you are not on funds (Cash) to clear the bills, how are you going to do it, I hate a situation whereby someone tries to put me in an unnecessary pressure just like some landlords do in my country, if only they take a little pressure on their tenants when their rent expired then I will say it is good, but they don't do that, landlords always want to get their rent on that day or you leave their house.

That's why I decided to stay in the family house for now and be working maybe to stay on my own in the future but for now, I do not think paying rent is good for me, for someone who is earning high, I would not still advise that paying a rent is better building a house or buying a house once and for all is good, so that to have full ownership and avoid paying yearly rent.

I have seen a situation whereby a tenant refused to pay his yearly rent then when the landlord go for it money he holds him a fight, beat him and the case was taken to the court, some people still do not want to comply with their dues maybe when they don't have or they are just tired of paying the same rent each and every year.

I conclude that buying a house is still the best option, it Serve unintended stress then put you in full ownership of equipment.

Thanks for reading @johnbenn.
