It is once again my favorite time of the month; the time that I calculate my monthly crypto earnings. Recently I have been feeling extremely bullish and because of that feeling I have put even more effort into my blogging during the month of January; hoping to get as my cryptocurrency as possible before the prices explode up even further. And because of that effort along with prices of coins going up, I had my best month ever during this month and it was an incredible way to begin the way.

I don't write these articles to boast about the crypto income that I am making, but to help keep track of my progress through the months and also it helps me to stay motivated in this journey of mine towards financial freedom. If I can do it, then anyone definitely can too. So I hope that it helps to motivate a few of the people reading this article to start their own journey to make an extra side income.

Like I mentioned before; in January I really put a lot more effort into my blogging. Not effort in terms of quality of content, because I always try to write articles of the highest quality and injecting my full personality into each of them. But what I meant is that this month I put out a lot more content. Before I was posting perhaps 1 or 2 times a week. But in January I changed that to 3-4 posts per week.

During this month the areas where I received income were of course cryptocurrency blogging, crypto lending, and also staking. I have been going very hard into cryptocurrency lending recently. My goal here is that I'm really wanting to receive a constant significant amount of interest from lending each month. For example; with bitcoin my goal was to every month receive at least 0.01 etc in interest. While this time last year that would have been only about $70, but right now that is about $330. And if bitcoin would go to $100,000, that same interest would equal $1,000 per month. Because as the prices of cryptocurrencies continue to go up, it will become much more difficult to accumulate more. And I wanted to guarantee a way for me to do that. My goal is that someday I maybe won't even need to purchase any extra cryptocurrency from my work salary, because what I am earning from my interest would be significant by itself.

So without further delay, let's talk about my crypto income for the month of January 2021.

Cryptocurrency Blogging

1) Publish0x

As mentioned above I had an excellent month at Publish0x. This was a new record for me, and up from $38.74 last month. This was helped from the price of ethereum going up this month as well, and also the website was offering higher tip rates to start the year as well. But the main thing was that I was posting much more often and the articles I posted had performed very nicely.

Also I have now reached over 1,770 followers, and am hoping to reach my next goal of 2,000 during the month of February. I have found that naturally the more followers you have, the easier it becomes for your posts to be noticed and perform well. It just takes time to gain a follower-base, and you can by posting consistently and producing high-quality content.

Publish0x Total - $103.33
(up from $38.74)

2) Read.cash Read.cash has exploded for me recently in terms of income, and as time goes on I am beginning to like it more and more. A few months ago they did change their tipping bot algorithm and thankfully I have been on the lucky receiving end, but I have also seen many people who have not been. I like that you can withdraw you funds anytime you want to, and it is nearly instant as well. Again here, the value of my earnings was helped from the value of bitcoin cash going up during the month, but it was mostly from me posting more content, and the content performing well. I have also reached 120 followers on the service, and am hoping to reach 200 soon.

$95.17

(up from $32.96)

3) Hive

I had an exceptional month here on Hive. I post my articles using the LEO Finance section of the website, which then allows me to not only earn hive on my posts, but LEO as well. When you have a post on HIVE that becomes noticed and does well, it has the highest earning potential of any of these services. But at the same time I have had many posts that didn't become noticed and only netted me a few cents. It is a very hit or miss service. During this month I made about $107.44 and that was with only 3 of my posts performing very well, and the rest doing little to nothing. That just shows the potential of the service, and if I would grow more of a following there, Hive could become my best source of crypto income. So I will continue grinding here, and hope for continued future success.

LEO + Hive Total = $107.44

(up from $15)

4) Uptrennd

I continue to not have much success here on Uptrennd. I promote all of my posts in hopes of growing followers, but recently I have hoped it would bring my attention to some of my other venues; such as my substack and twitter. I recently leveled my profile here to level 10 and that allows me to earn more on my upvotes. And also I have been trying to become more active posting/liking other users content on the service, and seeing if that has any affect on bring people to my profile as well.

Uptrennd Toal = $0.00. (no change)

5) Substack

My new experiment has been posting content to substack. While I'm not posting anything original there, I am testing to see if I can gain a subscriber base there. I'm not sure what my end goal is yet; perhaps it could be someday posting original content there and monetizing it, or just gaining more of a following, or controlling my own platform. But either way I have been enjoying the process and it has been exciting to see how many views and new subscribers I can get on the platform.

Crypto Currency Lending & Staking

1) BlockFi

My biggest source of income continues to be lending bitcoin onto BlockFi! I have reached my goal of at least earning 0.01 BTC of interest everything month, but am not quitting. I will continue trying to grow my passive income here as well. I find it exciting to log onto the service each day and check what my current accumulated interest is for the month. And then finally at the end of the month that interest is added to my balance. Out of all the interest lending services, I probably trust BlockFi the most; just because it has backing from many of the biggest players in the game, and also it doesn't rely on offering its own coin as well. But always remember, "not your keys, not your bitcoin." But I am happy to take that risk, as the income I am receiving has become quite significant and a great way to be able to increase my portfolio as the prices of BTC goes up, making it harder to accumulate more.

BlockFi January Total = $336.67 (0.01020214 BTC) (up from $281.88)

2) Celsius

As I have reached quite a significant amount of funds on BlockFi; recently I have been wanting to diversify my risk and put some funds on a different lending platform, and for that I use Celsius. I love that with Celsius you can withdraw at any time you want with no fees, and the interest is paid weekly. Although I am not a fan that it offers its own coin. As you can see the amount of BTC that I am earning here is still relatively new and low, but I will continue to grow this number every month.

Bitcoin - $28.05
0.00085000 BTC (up from $3.80)

Staking

1) Ethereum - $27.86 0.02103 ETH. (up from $2.40)

I use Kraken to stake Ethereum and have been relatively satisfied with how that has been going. I am currently only staking out a small amount of ethereum but it is turning into a decent amount that will only continue to grow over time. The downsides to currently staking ethereum 2.0 is that the interest does not compound. Meaning your interest earned is set to the side, and doesn't help to grow your interest even more in the future. And I won't be able to claim that interest until the next phase of ethereum 2.0, which could be years. And also on the same note, the ethereum that I am staking cannot be withdrawn until the next phase of 2.0 as well. But I am totally fine with that, because I don't plan on seeing my ethereum for quite a while.

Cryptocurrency Lending and Staking January Total = $392.58

January Total Crypto Income = $698.52 (up from $372.82)

As you can see from the number above; I had a very successful month during January nearly doubling my income. If you're not aware, my crypto income earning goal to reach by the end of 2021 is an income of $2,000 per month. I feel that is very achievable. Especially if I continue doubling-down on my content, building a flower base and if the price of BTC and ETH continue to rise as well.

So I want to know, how is your crypto income going!? What are you doing that has been working well!? And what have you been doing that hasn't worked out as well!?
