I wrote about this multiple times over the years but thought it would be a good refresher this evening's post :)

Poking through my journal I came across a few quotes that really made me think about how important our content is for building relationships on chain. Heck, it's a great game plan for building your personal brand as well, especially for those of us working to develop our online businesses!

Let's take a look back into Stock & Flow content!

Flow Content

This is the content you create to remind people you are out there in the space! According to Hubspot, the 'average' person consumes about 285 pieces of content each and every day. This was from a few years ago too, so I'm sure it's much more than that.

The point is, if you are not in front of people consistently, you will be out of mind in a hurry!

So what are you supposed to do?

Create a Pulitzer Prize winning article each and every day. Absolutely not. For creating great 'flow' content, you just need to make the commitment to become top of mind for your audience as much as you can.

You can do that by:

  • Creating short form content via apps like Leo Threads by @leofinance

  • Using apps like @liketu to post some great pictures you have taken

  • Engage constantly through valuable and useful comments

  • Use traditional social media to update your status and let your friends and followers know what you are up to

Again, the idea is not to create masterpieces every day, the strategy it just to...Create everyday!

This is one of the quotes that really stuck out to me when reading my journal tonight:

Be content wealthy!

Those daily pieces of content, the flow content, help you 'invest' in your future. By building your personal brand and keeping you top of mind for your audience....

Which brings us to...

Stock Content

If they were handing out those Pulitzer's your stock content would be up for an award each year ;)

Seriously though, this is what you become known for. When people think 'this topic' they think of you. They'll revisit that piece of content you created because they remembered the value it gave them.

Here's the thing though...

Stock content doesn't just appear out of thin air. You see, the more flow content you create, the better chance that one of those pieces knocks it out of the park!

I'll share a quick example of something I've used and my community will recognize in a heartbeat...

My 2.74 / Day Plan!

Ask anyone that's been around the CTP tribe for any amount of time, and they'll know that lesson. Mainly because I've been teaching it for over a decade now within CTP lol But more importantly, I truly believe it helped people develop a strategy to building online income, without being overwhelmed.

It's one of my stock pieces and hopefully, it adds value to people for years and years to come!

But again, no one creates a stock piece of content by creating once. It happens from building the habit of developing 'flow content' each and every day...
