A lot of people want to be certain that their efforts will be rewarded before they embark on any economic and financial expedition, and this is why sometimes we tailor the way and manner through which we learn.

Knowledge is endless, but we're limited in every capacity, this is why we constantly need motivation especially when we don't know the future and how well or badly it can turn out to be. The main reason why we're motivated to learn is because of how advantageous this knowledge can be in bettering our lives especially financially. Everything we do in life revolves around money.

Resources & Competition

If we're waking very early in the morning and depriving ourselves of sleep, it's probably because we want to be the "early-getter" A person who sacrifices their comfort to beat the competition.

One of the reasons why life is competitive isn't because there aren't enough resources, it's because some people are devising other means to have "more" for themselves, making life's "reward pool" a bit unfair in its distribution.

However, we still have to understand that to unsettle the naturalness of life, we need knowledge and power and these are some of the most important resources that are required to make money, on the other hand, there are a lot of sacrifices we make to acquire knowledge.

This is why we often require a little motivation to endure the harshest of learning conditions, in the process of acquiring knowledge. However, why do we often say, money shouldn't be a motivating factor in our quest for knowledge?

This is because we believe that our intentions for seeking knowledge must be "long-termed" or have a greater purpose so that we can endure the terrible times, but the truth is, money itself is the biggest motivation in our quest to acquire knowledge.

The proof is in the fact that everyone hopes to earn money for doing what they love, but is passion enough to keep us going? No. The truth is when people earn for what they love doing, the illusion that they're working disappears.

Growth & The Attainability That Comes With It.

However, it gets to a point in time where one's passion fades into distaste especially when their hope of a better tomorrow, hits a rock of impossibility.

Sometimes in life, we cannot control how we grow, but then, knowing that we're growing might be a mental incentive to keep working hard. The moment we feel stagnated, because of the inability to grow anymore, this is when we begin to realize that even our strength to persevere can fade into oblivion in the face of reality.

Sometimes ago, I was telling a friend that Splinterlands was not attainable anymore, it wasn't as if it was totally rewarding to 100%, however even if it was rewarding to a percentage rate of 2%, I was happy to still compound at such a ridiculous rate, why?

Motivation At 0% Reward

Because I've trained my mind to understand that growth is growth no matter how small.
However, at 0% reward, this unusual motivation dies because even when I loved the game, I'd still need the smallest of motivation to go on.

Nevertheless, not everyone thinks that growth is growth. Not everyone wants to transcend, people are often too impatient because they don't think they have the time and energy. Some people want a venture to be 100% rewarding before they can embark on it.

Thereby sacrificing the opportunity to even experience a different thing, other than "money" and "winning" but I've come to realize that what's more important isn't the ability to spot lucrative prospects, it's the ability to know which grow and create sustainability.
