Multi-Party System A Fluke; How Two
Nigeria is naturally a multi-party state but then traditionally we have only two parties who are well funded, popular and so domineering we tend to forget the existence of the remaining political parties. Now when money comes into democracy, election and due process are often compromised. Like I use to say, choosing of leaders in Nigeria seems cyclical and this is simply because we have people jumping from one of the two most functional political party to the other one and hence had it not been for the 4-years gap where elections take place Nigeria will have static leaders who will stay in power for long periods of time, bribing the electorate with borrowed campaign funds running into millions of Naira of Nigerian money.
In this video I talk about taking money off electoral processes and defunding these well funded political parties so they'll be at the same level with other political parties and we can have change In personnel in government and multi-party system can thrive again.
