Specifications & Update; A Review Into Android 11 on Samsung Galaxy M31s: Worth The Money?
Introduction
Samsung M31s is a device I have used for four months now and comparing the experience with my previous Samsung A51 i can say it's been amazing. The "M" series packs or boost the biggest batteries ever in a samsung phone with the galaxy M51 having a massive 7000mah battery.
Although these aren't even flagship devices, you'll get that from the samsung S10, the S20, the S20+ and 21 and even the samsung foldable that goes for more than 800$. One thing I like about samsung is basically the display, apart from having amoled display on their midrange devices they have super amoled HD display on their flagship devices opting for the snapdragon exynos on most of their flagship devices.
The Pros
The M31S comes with a crisp amoled display, packing a 6000mah battery. It comes with 4 camera but then, the 64mp main camera is the selling point of this Samsung because it can shoot pretty detailing shots and still be crispy even at four times zoom and this is why I prefer it to the wide angle lense. The colours are pretty amazing, not overly satured like the auto HDR you'll find in most iPhones pretty decent soft cool colours and it particularly does well in good lighting. There's a sort of automatic bokeh effect when you're taking objects at close range and this is what I first noticed using the Samsung A51.
The performance is quite good, the display is awesome. The side mounted finger print looks rather classy as the design itself is rather beautiful. The punch hole front camera design is stunning and the M31S has one of the best designs in most of the samsung phones i've seen.
The Cons
Having 6000mah battery seems really and it can give you close to 40 hours usage without charge when you use it on the average, gaming and browsing and taking pictures. You can get close to 48 hours when you use it lightly, reduce the light and lightly use the internet and almost no gaming. But then when compared to the 5020mah battery of the redmi note 9 its almost at par, so I think this should have been a 5000mah.
The face unlock is terrible in low lighting and although the slicky finger print makes up for this but its a low. The macro lense though better than the ones in some more expensive midrange phones like the VIVO Y9 is still a let off and basically the speaker isn't so breathtaking, just a little bit decent. I also feel the exynos chipset makes it impossible to have Google cam on the M31S as only snapdragon chipsets phones like the galaxy A71 devices can have GCAM and this is also a downgrade.
The Highlights & Update On Android 11.
There aren't really many low points on the samsung M31s afterall, not all phones are perfect. But then the phone has gotten better after the android 11 was disbursed and the update is smooth; the camera's bokeh feature was called "live focus" but after the android 11 update it was change to "Portrait".
I love this because not everyone knows that "live focus" is bokeh effect pictures unlike the regular Portrait. Another thing that really got better on the android 11 is the notification. now you can have pop up notification even when the phone is not in use or the screen is turned off and not in use. You can shoot HD 4k videos from the front camera, this is definitely big. You can also choose between switching from HD to UHD when making a video with the back camera.

Overall Review; Value For Money?
Generally Samsung phones are expensive, but then you have other phones that are even more expensive. Androids like the motorola GP, the Oneplus, Xiaomi flagship high end devices. Samsung has recently switched to producing midrange devices more lately. As the Samsung galaxy A51 was the highest selling phone of 2020. but even as at this, they are still overly expensive. at over 400$ the galaxy A71 is one of the costliest mid-range device.
Nevertheless the Samsung is an overall quality brand. I have not used the S-series but then these are some of the best device on the planet and can easily compete with the iPhone 10, the X's Series and even iPhone 11 pro. I would say apple devices are even more expensive than Samsung but then this is probably because of the demand for Apple products in recent times. Overall I would say the m31s galaxy Samsung is a breathtaking device and actually worths the money.
