Truth be told, it is not easy to save. People who have mastered the act of saving should have a medal with their names written bold on it. Saving requires a huge responsibility which includes self control and denying yourself a whole lot of things.

But is it worth it at the end? Yes of course.

From childhood, my mum taught me how to save. No matter how little, she gave me a small piggy bank that time where I put in money I get from people who visited us back then. The reason was to buy Christmas cloth and shoe at the end of the year. I got excited about saving and the habit grew in me even as an adult.

Just that these days responsibilities have taken a whole lot that saving now can be a big deal for one. Before you save these days, you have to ensure that you have at least settled your immediate needs. So that when you are saving, you know that is just for future use. It is very important to save for yourself. Because you never know what may happen and then you fall back on your savings.

Hive has become my piggy bank because that's where I fall back to a lot of times when I need money for a project. Another thing to know and which I consider very important is that saving in a place which gives you interest is very very important. That interest you get will surely go a very long way to help you too. For instance, getting 20% APR while saving your HBD can help you no matter how little you may think it is.

If you have not saved up anything, please start. Those little amount of money you may not see as anything, if you save them up you may just be surprised how far they can go to solve that problem for you. I hate to borrow from people. That's why I try to save up here and there so that when emergencies arise, I have something I can hold from my own pocket.

Your savings should be seen as your life saver.
