It looks like all systems go for the steem fork

Hiveio recently put out an update giving some specifics on the expected (and much celebrated) steem hardfork.

Some specifics...

It looks like the actual fork will take place this Friday at 10 AM EST.

The forked chain will be an exact copy of steem (at least initially), including login credentials.

It looks like the snapshot and fork will happen at that same time judging from this statement...

"The snapshot and airdrop will take place back to back at the time of launch."

Which will be Friday at 10 AM EST.

The snapshot will not include all accounts though...

Apparently it will not include more than just the known steemit,inc accounts.

Any accounts that publicly showed support for Justin Sun and actively participated in helping him will likely not be included in the snapshot as well:

"The only accounts who will not be included in the initial airdrop are those containing the Steemit Inc ninja-mined stake, and those who actively contributed to (and publicly declared support for) the centralization of the Steem Blockchain."

It's not entirely clear which accounts this will include but I would guess those that were voting on Justin Sun's witness accounts probably will not be.

Overall, it's an exciting development.

It will be interesting to see how Justin responds, if he responds.
