Grinding, grinding, grinding. Writing blogs, leaving meaningful comments everywhere. Gaming our asses off. Trading some HIVE and HBD. It ain’t easy working the HIVE grind next to all of the other stuff but as long as it is fun, this isn’t really a dogs’ life right? (I really don’t know if this is even an actual saying in English. In Dutch we refer to a saying with the literal translation, which means just about that life isn’t all that and it is a lot of work. I honestly don’t even know if this is the deal in English.)

I guess the comparison is understandable right? Compare it to having a dog. In general this rascal sleeps like 15 hours a day so all of that time he isn’t really very much high maintenance. But apart from that you also have to make sure he has his belly filled, and that he gets some decent walks a couple times a day. But as said….he also sleeps like 15 hours per day. So what is the actual time that you really have to spend on working the animal? Not so super much… ow be honest right there.

I guess this is the same on being an active person in the HIVE eco system. Actually writing posts can take extremely long, but it also doesn’t really have, only this can reflect on your rewards. But it doesn’t have to. There are no guarantees that when you right really decent posts which took you a tremendous amount of time that your rewards will be higher. Of course the chances are higher, but it doesn’t have to be the deal. Same thing on the other side, if you write a small post, this doesn’t have to be the deal that you will get hardly any rewards on this, but just the chance of it is higher. But also…no guarantees. Same with gaming. It doesn’t have to be that your gaming rewards will be better if you put more hours in it, or if you have better cards. But there is a chance, just no guarantee.

Same thing that if I give my dog a lot of love, and a decent amount of training. It doesn’t have to mean that he will the perfect obeying animal. But there is a bigger chance that he will be, but no guarantees again.

What I am trying to say with all of this is that HIVE doesn’t have to cost you that much time. But that means the rewards will most likely also be in line with that. For me this tactic works. I spend some time, I get some rewards, I am happy with it. But after all of this time on the blockchain, with often not more than just half an hour to an hour per day, it does pay off. I have some auto votes going on to keep the voting power working. I write some posts which I try daily but that don’t always succeed in it. (consistency is key, therefor daily) and I do some Splinterlands and Rising Star gaming. This suits me when I just doing something and doesn’t take a lot of time. Rewards of all of this in average on a daily current status?

  • Curation 0.5 HP but no effort because autovotes

  • Post rewards somewhere between 3-5 bucks average

  • Splinterlands DEC rewards from quests 200 = $1.50

  • Rising Star Starbits sell $6

And this is just the daily stuff that is literally no effort for me But on a yearly basis this surely pays off and I am not even talking about rising crypto prices. Do with this info what you want, but I am not calling this a dogs life ;)
