With a spike to almost $0.60 over the last day HIVE is seeming to have an extremely booming month. But when you ask me why HIVE is now specifically booming, I couldn't tell you the exact answer to this.

Maybe this is the price that is just already long overdue after it's launch about a year back, or maybe it is because HIVE had their most recent 1 years anniversary existance but there might be other reasons ofcourse. Let's have a look

I found this very interesting post from @fredrikaa on how the price value from Steem has come over the last years, and ofcourse how this also reflects on the HIVE price now. We may not want to admit is, but the previous situation from how we came from Steem is ofcourse more than relevant, at least it was and will be slowly drifting further away as time passes.

It might be because of the development that is going around. Ofcourse LEOfinance is doing extremely good with the CUB farming, but honestly all of this can be done outside of buying HIVE, so I would not expect this to reflect on the token that much.

I see tremendous works going out from @raymondspeaks and the team with his BRO coin and from now what I have understood the CINE token based on movie curation that is being airdropped on that (I really can not keep up with all of the launched tokens if you are not fulltime in the game).

I see @aggroed working with his Diesel pools on the hive-engine which means rewards can be staked and rewarded for that, which is in the making and ofcourse an awesome feature, but not finished as yet.

So all kinds of gigantic initiatives but not the ones that make HIVE spike so much in price over the last month I would say.

What the good thing is about this pricespike is that it puts HIVE back on the map again. Ofcourse we are no way near the top 100 in the coinmarketcap but the fact is that when a token lights up green big time in the sea of red, it makes people notice and check out what the deal is there.

What I currently like about HIVE is that there is so much less arguing compared to the Steem days. Back the you would open up your front page and you would see total written warfare going down. If that is your first look on the trending page that is medium motivating I would say.

This feels difference now, more in balance. I like it more how HIVE feels today, whether it is with or without price spikes. Although let's admit it, these spikes do feel good right?
