I guess if you have any interest in stocks or crypto or news in general you must have been living under a rock if you havent heard about the Gamestop shortings-not-shortings.

Although there was also applauding for this group who managed to outplay the traditional stock players, to me there is also a very dangerous part in there. Meaning...everybody thinks they can play this game now as well. And stocks is dangerous shit involving also losing money. If there is a winner, there is also a loser.

Now coincidentally I just have overheard a conversation during lunch from a colleague (thank god for having the ability of going to 'the office' even if it is only for the work-gossip that you would otherwise be missing) who was thinking in buying some stocks because 'in the long run this is always a good idea' and that 'getting into an EFT is always safe'

I mumbled something about EFTs always having low risk and high risk in here as well and that tons of stocks are at an all-time-high and that money for country loans is being printed faster because of covid, than that you can dump your raw chicken shit in the toilet. But it is her money and she should think about it wisely and should only consider what she would be able to afford to lose...

...and there it was....the blank stare in the distance...and she mumbled something about 'wow, I didnt think about all of these things'....

Where there is a winner there is a loser. Another friend was talking earlier in the week about staking stuff because of high ROI. I guess he wasn't around in the bitconnect time, because that would give some more feeling of when it sounds too good to be true, it probably is

I really have the feeling like the market is a jungle at the moment waiting to eat up some innocent victims who are willing to take some risks. Maybe because they are bored, maybe because they didn't spend so much during last year because of the pandemic, or maybe because they need some adrenaline in their bodies.

But the fact is..if full time traders can get fucked over so hard by a group of Robin Hoods...why wouldn't some other group try to steal your money before you even realize it...And the willing herd seems ready to lay their heads on the chopping board for this. Can't do much about it but warn them when possible and if they are open to it..

And otherwise...buy their cheap stocks later on again ;)
