My first donation on pexels & where you can upload your images to get rewarded

One of the first actions of the day is to check my emails. This morning I was so surprised with what I saw, that it took me a few moments to realize that I was really awake.

It was true! I had received my first ever donation of $5!

I saw that one of my videos on Pexels (a website where you can find free to use images/videos), was the reference to that donation.

It came to me as a huge surprise, because I was not expecting to get anything for the content shared there.

A few months back I was writing the reasons why I was giving away my photographs for free but now even though I will still provide some content at Pexels, I have changed my orientation.

I plan to use more decentralized ways to share my content and if possible be rewarded for it.

The donation I received was 5USD which I received via paypal. I have already sent a very kind thank you to the person and I really hope I can find out where some of my content is used

At the moment I have 555 images/videos online and my top performer is this video which has already almost 9K downloads.

Is it worth it?

Here are my stats

I believe that Pexels is still a website of great authority but comparing the labor needed, I think that most of my time & efforts will be devoted to different activities.

However it is always good to use it and spread awareness so I have uploaded a few images of leo & they already got some views! :)

Where can we upload our images & be rewarded?

It seems that there are a few places online where we can upload our content - photos or videos and be rewarded for them!

I will share with you some of my favorite spots/apps and I hope that you will share your spots with me too :)

Hive - Photography Related Communities

(1) Photography Lovers Community by @derangedvisions

Description Every day on Hive authors are using stock images. I use them on occasion myself and when I add that source link as a thank you to the creator of that image on the free stock photo sites I wish I could give them a percentage beneficiary from that post. Except they probably don't have an account on Hive, so I can't.

We are the biggest blockchain based photography project running on #hive

Appics

I also post my images on Appics - there I have a couple of restrictions.

a. I cannot post more than one image or video for a post b. Also, unlike Instagram, where I may also post 3-4 images a day - on Appics I usually post only one per day

If it's worth it? I plan to post my review about the app very soon. I have just reached 5000 APX, that means that at the current rate I have approximately 91$ which I believe that will increase their value after Appics migrates to TELOS blockchain.

For Appics I have a lot to share, what I like and what I do not like so much .. be ready for my extensive review soon :)

I find it an amazing place to grow my community, share thoughts, content, play games and ask questions - even though at the moment I cannot monetize it. I have future plans so it never hurts to have future goals and to work for them!

Future plans

I have many many maaaany images yet unpublished so I really got to do something about them. I will use some more applications and review them here, so feel free to ask me anything you want, post your suggestions or questions on specific applications :)
