Hello Hivers! Have you ever won a jackpot or lottery before? Well, not necessarily a jackpot but I'm sure we must have been surprised with a large sum of money unexpectedly at some point in time. How did you feel that day? I have been blessed with large sums before. One time, I was super excited that I lost my appetite to eat. LOL.

This is my entry to the contest by @starstrings01 and @aliento where we are required to talk about what we would use a $50,000 airdrop and 100,000 Hive! To know more about this contest, click HERE.

1. What would you do with an airdrop of $50,000? This is a huge sum and I would be tempted to faint! LOL. Just kidding. I doubt I would be able to shut my eyes because I would be staring at my bank account or crypto wallet all day, wondering if it's for real.

Then when I am sure it's for real, I would get to work - investment. I have learned that this is the smart way to make your money or assets work for you. I would invest one-third of the $50,000 in cryptocurrencies. I would also invest in real estate and the stock market with another one-third.

The remaining amount I would spend on my family to make sure we are more comfortable.

2. If you are given a Hive power of 100,000 Hive, how exactly do you plan on using it? One hundred thousand Hive is a LOT of Hive power! Having such an amount would make me almost close to the status of a whale! I have some projects that are dear to my heart and with this amount of Hive, I could execute those projects and more.

First, I would start a weekly contest for newbies where they can get to talk about their experiences on Hive for the week. It could hold on a Saturday, like a weekend contest and I would be generous with the Hives that would be won. I believe this will encourage newbies to be active through the week, knowing there's something juicy waiting by the weekend.

I would join hands with initiatives such as the Newbies Initiative, The Terminal and other communities that are newbie oriented. Starting on Hive is not always easy but with the right support and connections, everyone would want to join Hive.

I would attach my hive account to curation trails and support communities that are close to my passion. I would go further to vote quality posts. I see some of them around, sadly, they do not get the deserving votes. Hive users like this should be encouraged to keep writing.

What an interesting contest! I hereby invite @blezyn and @wolfofnostreet to participate.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
