For those that haven't noticed, we live in a world where your wealth determines the value people attach to you. This is why those that are already wealthy can never afford to go down the pecking order while those that are poor are ready to fight their way to the top.

I understand this hot pursuit for money and all benefits attached to it. Left for me, I will always choose to go higher, but what I don't understand is why people casually step on other people's toes just because of their desire to get money. I've seen it a couple of times to realise that it's just an act of insecurity and greed. It doesn't make sense.

As if that's not enough, people have resolved to sell their humanity in the name of making money. Anyone doing this can pretend to be unaware of its repercussion, but that's one hell of a reckless thing to do in this world of vanity. How do they look themselves in the mirror after literally losing their soul for money? I guess, they never got to think that far. Tsk tsk!

Let me bring the question to you. Did you ever cross a dangerous line because of money?

At the moment, there is a long list of things people do because of their desire to get money. Many are ready to make a caricature of themselves and go on a bootlicking spree. Some people see this world as a dog-eat-dog arena so they bark loudly and bite fiercely as far as it fills up their pockets.

As far as this money talk is concerned, I want you to remember everything and forget nothing. This post is a sort of reflection about a friend who is at a point of calling it quits.

After so many years of resiliently hustling, racking brain, doing odd jobs, running side gigs, and begging for help, Osborn has resolved to cross the line to sever ties with poverty. This same poverty has been hovering around him since birth and it feels good to hear that he is ready to escape from it.

But then, how far is he willing to go? Will he also sell his soul? The Osborn l know will never do that, but l can't stop the what ifs from popping into my mind.

Truth is, l also want to grow my net worth and l expect every other reasonable person to do the same. But, the method matters a lot to me. I can't afford to be the downfall of someone because of my pursuit of wealth. That would be a costly mistake for the type of adventurous life l plan to live. Let's all learn to follow due process in all our endeavours.

In this race for greener pastures, we need to remember everything written here and forget nothing.
