I'm beginning a new series, which will be very interesting, informative and educative, titled, Important Tips On How To Be Successful In Your Career A lot of us want to be successful in our careers, such as me in banking, you could be an artist, a graphic designer, a programmer, an accountant, a lawyer, and so on. We all want to excel in that vocation we are into. But it isn't so easy, as to succeed you need more than just discipline, you need to put in the work, the energy and the time into what you are into, before you can become successful at it. In this article, I will be sharing with you all one solid tip that will increase your chances of making success in your career.
If you want to achieve success in whatever thing, you need to avoid the habit of procrastination as it is an enemy of progress and success. In this era of technology, where distraction are getting more and more interesting. You have netflix, you have PS5, you have youtube, you more slutty girls 😉, everything just makes time seem not enough for you to do all the things you will love to do, hence, procrastination. For instance, You have some work stuff that needs to be submitted first thing, the next day. You got a notification on your smartphone, a Youtube channel you subscribed to, just added a new content, and you get notified of it. You look at your work, and you will say, "3 minutes can't make me not finish this task today". You enter the trap. You finished the video, but you see another awesome video at the suggestion video section, you click on it, and you start watching and it goes on and on, before you know it, one hour spent. You look at the work, and you will say, "I will wake up early to finish this task, I already don't feel like work again." And you continue with your Youtube. I know I'm not the only one, this kind of stuff have happened to 😂. Funny enough, you won't wake up early to complete the task, you will then, have an overload of task to complete the next day, which will result to stress and you not performing at your best. So, try and avoid procrastination. But how?
It is not easy to stop procrastination, when it has become a habit. But try to avoid the things that makes you fall into the procrastination trap. When you are working, try to put your phone on vibrant only, so as you don't miss an important call or message, because I would have suggested putting your phone on silent mood. Turn off social media notification from your phone completely. Try to get reward system to help you cope with your procrastination habit. As soon as you finish a task, do something you like for 15 minutes and get back to your next task. Always put a 15 minutes and 20 minutes alarm, so you don't get carried away. Create a daily schedule that will help you know what you should be doing at every given time. Also, on that daily schedule, create time for fun, so as you do your tasks with happiness and with the joy of having fun afterwards.
Try those simple tricks and you will notice that you will stop the habit of procrastination soon enough, hence, you will become more productive and make more chances of becoming successful at your career.
