Improves Sleep Quality

Yoga helps to improve our sleep quality and as an entrepreneur you need to be able to always have a quality night sleep every night, as a good quality sleep helps to improve our immune system, lower our blood pressure and fight depression. Have you ever tried to sleep and was not able? How does that feel and how does your next day feel? It will definitely feel terrible. You will feel frustrated that you couldn't sleep at night and when the next day starts, it will be more terrible, because you will be sleep drunk at the middle of the day, hence, you are not present minded at any situation. Studies, have shown that a sleep deprived person is similar to a drunken person. Well according to a quote from Dr Itzhak Fred;

Inadequate sleep exerts a similar influence on our brain as drinking too much. Yet no legal or medical standards exist for identifying overtired drivers on the road the same way we target drunk drivers. Source

According to Yuval Nir of Tel Aviv University;

We were fascinated to observe how sleep deprivation dampened brain cell activity. Unlike the usual rapid reaction, the neurons responded slowly and fired more weakly, and their transmissions dragged on longer than usual. Source

Sleep is so essential and we all need to have a quality night rest. As entrepreneurs who might have a busy day and some disturbing news about their business, sleep might be far from them at night. Not sleeping adequately only makes the situation worst. Because the situation which needs fixing the next day, will most likely not be fixed because you are not fully present and operating at your optimal capacity. Well, yoga will help you sleep better and faster, regardless your day activities because yoga helps to relax you and reduce your level of anxiety. Also, studies have shown that Yoga helps to increase the secretion of melatonin, which is responsible for us feeling drowsiness and also helps to lower our body temperature which put us in the mood for sleeping.

I had a very nice comment from @trabajosdelsiglo, which was stating how entrepreneurs should find the balance between their health and wealth because there's no point accumulating a fortune and losing your health in the process. I found that comment very inspiring, and as they say, health is wealth. Why did I bring this up? I brought this up, because sleep helps to protect us from neurodegenerative diseases like Dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Diseases. But how? Our brain and body have toxic materials and proteins, which needs to cleared from body and brain constantly, if not we might get any of the above mentioned neurodegenerative diseases. The Lymphatic System helps remove those toxic materials and proteins from our body and the Glymphatic System helps remove those toxic materials and proteins from our brain. We would focus on our brain because that's what could lead to those neurodegenerative diseases, hence, we focus on the Glymphatic System. Whenever we sleep, our brain shrinks by 60% which helps the removal of the toxic materials and proteins much faster and easier and also the Glymphatic System is 10 times more active when we are sleeping.

This is to show you all just how important sleep is for an entrepreneur and just how important it is to practice Yoga daily as it promotes and improves our sleep quality.
