“Black birds tend to like shiny things.” ~ The Bloody Raven

In the Greater Vancouver region June 15th was the last good rainfall leaving July and most of August unseasonably dry weather wise. But the showering of gifts continues from Captain Nyssacat373 and doesn’t seem to let up, keeping Burt & Jinjin busy examining and inspecting the silver goods as they come in. First on the mark is the gorgeous necklace I’m just giddy over.

Bat Pendant Necklace

Diamond accented in Sterling Silver

with 18-inch sterling silver chain

I can’t help myself wearing this often since I got it.
Dark and Sparkly! Wearing my stack in my style, the Captain is out to impress me in his tasteful choices.
He’s likely figured that the difference between a guy’s and a gal’s Treasure Chests is the higher Bling ratio for the gal. And I wouldn’t fault him for thinking that way. Then, there are the Gothic themed swag.

The Gorgonist Pins

Hard to believe he made the effort to read all my past blogs. There are a little over 250 posts since I started Hive back in August 2017. What a sweetheart. So, in keeping with my Gothic flavor this set of pins do commensurate to a few of my past posts. Next is a hidden surprise inside the Ross & Simons Jewelry pouch.
A tiny PAMP Swiss ingot.

1g Platinum, 0.9995

9.5mm x 6mm x 0.83mm

I’m speechless.
This would be my only PAMP Ingot of any sort and the first Platinum piece ever. I am sort of a Traditionalist kind of Stacker focusing on Gold and Silver but Platinum? I can presume he would like to see me diversify into this less traditional metal asset, how can I refuse.

Next is a Product from a Canadian Pouring artist that may just set the standard for legal replica coins that retain the ancient world style qualities without being mistaken for the genuine coins.
I think this dual set Reverse/back and Obverse/back rounds are an ingenious way to provide a historically accurate coin replica in detail without being confused as a counterfeit.

JP Metals Consecration Round Phoenix Reverse

Phoenix Bird figure, CONSECRATION

Diameter 25.5mm, Thickness 4mm

This round is part of a pair set with the Reverse and Obverse made into separate rounds so I can assume Nyssacat373 is in possession of the obverse of the replica set. Stranger still is that the designs were based on a set of 1980 Bulgarian made dies used to manufacture fake Roman coins for the Tourist market. The jig was up with the counterfeit appearing much better than the genuine 3rd Century Roman coin.

Due to copyright, I can only link to a picture of the genuine original Mariniana 253-254 / Antoninian 254-257 Roman coin
