I can remember those tenuous days clear as it were yesterday. They came vowing peace, prosperity and cooperation but acted much more different to their vaulted words; deceit, treachery and tyranny.
Conquerors rather than partners.
Hugging my children I wept, "Alas, our way of life is ending!" Then I heard the Town Cryer's words ringing of hope, "Behold, an escape is at hand!"
