Corona Virus Lockdown And Keeping Spirits High With The Splinterlands Game – Day 8
Today marks day 8 of the lockdown in Lagos and things are really getting harder for the people who are finding it difficult to get food to eat in some cases. The security road blocks are still in place to restrict the movement of people around the state. A lot of cars are been impounded as their own don’t have genuine reasons to be out. People on essential duties are allowed to move around, food and medical supplies are also allowed to be transported around the state so that people can get access to them.
I got the Water splinter today and it was not such a bad battle day for me. I was able to complete it without suffering point loses buy rather was able to grow my point base. I was using counter attack via magic reflect with monsters like Lord Arianthus and Prismatic Energy, and then return fire with Cornealus. This ensured that my enemies where gradually killing themselves while attacking my monsters.
After completing my daily quest and with nothing much to do since we are still in lockdown, I decided to do more battles and see where it leads to. It was really tough I tell you. As I made progress I decided that since I was closed in points to entering the next league, I should just go for it. I got close to entering the Champion II league twice and twice I got defeated and suffered point losses before finally making the third attempt and succeeding.

Hmmm! Something must be wrong with all them potions I am getting as they are not converting Gold or Legendary cards during rewards opening. For today I got two Rare cards, some Common cards, some Legendary And Alchemy potions and a bunch of DECs and that was all she wrote.
