A Re-introduction to Hive - Kevin Li

Hello, my beautifuls. It's time to do a proper introduction to this wonderful hive community. My name is Kevin and those who remember me probably from the good old Steem days and DTube. I was one of the top vloggers mainly focusing around my life and stupid comedic things that went inside my head. I’ve been to Steemfest Poland and Steemfest Thailand in person and they were a blast. I mainly have been lurking in the shadows of Hive, but recently I quit my day job to pursue a career in blockchain and NFT’s.

So here goes…

https://nftstudios.online/chifibots/ I was approached earlier this year to help develop a NFT game debuting on the Aspire blockchain called ChiFiBots by I.J (@steemcafe on Steem/hive). What started as a small project has rapidly become an obsession of mine. I fell in love with making these characters and an universe where they interact.

The battle system has changed so much already, and I'm proud to lead this project as I know many Hivians and NFT lovers are pumped to dive into another NFT game. It’s been a life changing learning experience with a glimpse into a different side of NFT gaming. One of the biggest issues is can all my crazy ideas even be developed into a NFT game? I’m yet to find out, there’s so many ambitious things in the pipeline, I find myself jumping around my apartment in excitement many times a week.

I should also mention another co-founder of NFT Studios is the legendary @flauwy who’s been leading the charge on the local Hive community 1up.zone . He’s been doing incredible work and seeing his progress gets me more excited about the future of Play To Earn games.

Play To Earn Is Here To Stay

I play a lot of games everyday. These include NFT projects like @dcitygame @splinterlands and Axie Infinity. I also make time to play non-blockchain games like Pokemon Unite and an array of PS5 and PS4 games. It went from simply playing games for entertainment to absorbing information to why these games are successful. Community is such an important aspect I feel many gaming companies take for granted. Seeing how Splinterlands and Axie Infinity has changed people's lives forever makes me MEGA BULLISH for the Play To Earn space.

The FUCK YEAH moment I’m waiting for in ChiFiBots is when the game forces you to pick between two characters you love. One survives. One dies. I will destroy your emotions, haha. Because I’ve had those moments in games and I want the same effect for you, players. I’ll use this blog as a report on my thoughts on everything blockchain and on my personal projects.

I’m purposely keeping this short because I don’t really read big blog posts. Part of the reason I’m excited for @leofinance Project Blank. I want to give a special shoutout to @jongolson who single handedly was the reason I stayed within the Hive network because I wanted to see what he was up to everyday (even when I wasn’t posting). And thanks to this wonderful community. You've affected my life more than I could ever imagine. Glad I stuck around.
