LeoFinance Ventures Into DeFi | WLEO Geyser Model, New LeoFi Application and BTS
We released an official post yesterday alongside the first ever monthly WLEO Geyser distributions. The Geyser approach to LP incentives can be a bit confusing as there are a lot of nuances to sift through and think about.
As the designer of our Geyser - in terms of everything from the economics behind it to the actual mechanics of distribution - I've spent a lot of time working on this project.
It's taken an incredible amount of energy, resources and hours to come up with this Geyser model. In the end, I think we've built the most unique Geyser distribution model in the entire DeFi space for a number of reasons.
We've built a model - which may be the first of its kind - that distributes tokens across multiple blockchains. While the DeFi space itself isn't all that large, there are several different Geyser projects being built on Ethereum.
On Hive, however, there are 0 Geyser projects.
From what we've found, there are 0 Geyser projects that utilize two different blockchains. With our model, we've combined the benefits of Ethereum (Uniswap exchange, DeFi, AMMs, etc.) with the benefits of Hive (3 second, fee-less transactions).
When you bring these to chains together, you get a unique model where micro-payouts can occur and also tie in a socialized aspect thanks to Hive. Ethereum is where the money, resources and complex protocols live while Hive is an incredible base layer to tie it all together.
LeoFinance is actively working on bridging together what Ethereum (and soon, other blockchains) has to offer with what Hive offers. These are just the beginning steps of a long-term roadmap to become a truly multi-chain social media platform.
