(DE/EN) My Road to Riftwatchers - # 5 - Airdrop Result and selling titles
Intro
Aufgrund der ganzen Diskussion um den Riftwatchers Sale und die 4 Proposals, die erst abgewartet werden mussten, hat es nun über einen Monat gedauert, bis endlich der erste Airdrop für Riftwatchers stattfand.
Zur Erinnerung: Wir haben als Legendary Dragons im Pool 6.924 Packs erhalten. Da kommt einiges zusammen an Promokarten und Titeln.
Intro
Due to the whole discussion about the Riftwatchers Sale and the 4 Proposals, which had to be waited for, it took over a month until the first airdrop for Riftwatchers finally took place.
As a reminder, we received 6,924 packs as Legendary Dragons in the pool. That adds up to a lot of promo cards and titles.
Ein Schreck zu Beginn
Am Donnerstag bin ich relativ früh ins Bett, nach der durchzockten Vornacht um den Runi zu gewinnen.
Ich hatte eigentlich erwartet, dass abends der erste Airdrop kommt, aber Pustekuchen.
Umso überraschter war ich, als ich dann morgens las, dass um 3 Uhr deutscher Zeit der Airdrop doch stattgefunden hatte.
Super erstmal nach den Titeln schauen, ob alles gepasst hat.
Oh schreck nur 5 Titel. Bei 6.924 Packs hätte wir doch 6 bekommen müssen. Dumm genug, dass wir 76 Packs zu wenig gekauft hatten, für einen 7.
Wo lag der Fehler? Schnell gefunden. Aus irgendeinem Grund waren für meinen Account nicht die 6.924 Packs hinterlegt, sondern nur 5.900.
Die Zahl war anfangs korrekt, und wurde irgendwann geändert, ohne dass es mir aufgefallen wäre. Wahrscheinlich als die 24 Bonuspacks aus dem Proposal gutgeschrieben worden waren.
A shock at the beginning
On Thursday I went to bed relatively early, after the all-night gamble to win the Runi.
I actually expected the first airdrop to come in the evening, but fiddlesticks.
The more surprised I was when I read in the morning that at 3 o'clock German time the airdrop had taken place.
Super first look at the titles, whether everything has fit.
Oh horror only 5 titles. With 6,924 packs we should have gotten 6. Stupidly enough, we had bought 76 packs too little, for a 7th title.
Where was the mistake? Quickly found. For some reason, my account did not have 6,924 packs, but only 5,900.
The number was correct at the beginning, and was changed at some point without me noticing. Probably when the 24 bonus packs from the proposal were credited.
Odysee mit gutem Ausgang
Als braver deutscher Spieler macht man in einer solchen Situation was? Natürlich ein Ticket auf.
Sind wir ja vom Internetprovider oder aus unseren Firmen nicht anders gewohnt.
Schnell noch die Transaktion mit den Kaufdaten rausgesucht und abgeschickt. Kann ja nicht so lange dauern, wenn alles in der Blockchain nachgelesen werden kann.
Naja lang ist relativ. Ich bekam schnell eine erste Antwort. Wurde dann an die Finanzabteilung weitergeleitet, die mich am Samstag an die Entwickler weitergeleitet hat.
Am Sonntag hatte ich dann den fehlenden Titel und die 6.924 Packs wurden korrekt dargestellt.
Ich hatte zwar gehofft, das mein ticket etwas schneller gelöst wird, möchte mich aber beim Splinterlands Team bedanken, dass es trotz Wochenende alles richtig gestellt hat.
Es ging hier um einiges an Geld. Da muss genau geprüft werden. Also alles gut.
Dem Airdrop stand also nichts mehr im Wege.
Odyssey with a good outcome
As a well-behaved German player, what do you do in a situation like this? Open a ticket, of course.
We're not used to anything different from our Internet provider or our companies.
I quickly looked up the transaction with the purchase data and send it off. It can't take that long if everything can be read in the blockchain.
Well, long is relative. I quickly got a first answer. Was then forwarded to the finance department, which forwarded me to the developers on Saturday.
By Sunday I had the missing title and the 6,924 packs were displayed correctly.
I had hoped that my ticket would be solved a little faster, but I would like to thank the Splinterlands team for getting everything right despite the weekend.
There was quite a bit of money involved here. This must be checked exactly. So everything is good.
So nothing stood in the way of the airdrop.
Promo Airdrop
Mit 6.924 Packs waren uns 138 Karten garantiert davon 6 Gold Foils.
Tatsächlich haben wir am Ende ganze 139 Karten erhalten.
Das ist zwar nur eine mehr als das Minimum, aber diese ist zumindest eine Gold Foil, so dass wir 7 Gold Foil unser eigen nennen können.
Da schlägt wohl das Gesetz der großen Zahlen zu. Je mehr Packs man kauft, desto wahrscheinlicher ist es, dass man die erwartete Zahl auch erhält und die Chance für Überraschungen sinkt.
Wir haben 3 Spieler die mehr als 1.000 Packs gekauft haben. Diese erhalten jeweils eine GF zugeteilt.
Die restlichen 4 GF Promokarten habe ich für jeweils 399 $ zum Verkauf gestellt.
Der derzeitige Preis für diese Karte ist viel zu niedrig. Es gibt nur halb so viele Oshuur Constantia, wie es Dr. Blight gibt. Dennoch kostet Dr. Blight auf dem Markt derzeit fast 3 mal so viel.
Wir haben beschlossen, nicht für diese Ramschpreise zu verkaufen. Derzeit wollen einfach zu viele ihre Überschüsse schnell loswerden. Wir haben Zeit.
Von den Regular Foils haben wir 3 Karten übrig, die ich ebenfalls für deutlich höhere Preise eingestellt habe. Auch hier gibt es aus unserer Sicht derzeit keinen Grund zu diesen Preisen zu verkaufen.
Promo Airdrop
With 6,924 packs we were guaranteed 138 cards including 6 Gold Foils.
In fact, we ended up with a full 139 cards.
That's only one more than the minimum, but this one is at least a Gold Foil, so we can call 7 Gold Foils our own.
I guess that's where the law of large numbers strikes. The more packs you buy, the more likely you are to get the number you expect and the chance for surprises goes down.
We have 3 players who bought more than 1,000 packs. These will each receive a GF allotted to them.
I have put the remaining 4 GF promo cards on sale for $399 each.
The current price for this card is way too low. There are only half as many Oshuur Constantia as there are Dr. Blight. Yet Dr. Blight currently costs almost 3 times as much on the market.
We have decided not to sell for these junk prices. Currently, there are just too many who want to get rid of their surplus quickly. We have time.
From Regular Foils we have 3 cards left, which I have also set for much higher prices. Again, from our point of view, there is currently no reason to sell at these prices.

Nicht ohne meinen Titel
Oder doch? Nach dem anfänglichen Stress haben wir unsere 6 Titel zusammen.
3 gehen an unsere Großinvestoren und 3 gehen in den Verkauf.
2 haben wir sogar bereits verkauft. Den ersten für 4218 SPS. Den zweiten für 440.000 DEC.
Der dritte steht für ca. 250 $ zum Verkauf, falls ihn jemand haben möchte gerne hier kommentieren oder im Discord eine DM schicken.

Or is it? After the initial stress, we have our 6 titles together.
3 are going to our major investors and 3 are going on sale.
2 we have even sold already. The first one for 4218 SPS. The second one for 440,000 DEC.
The third one is for sale for about 250 $, if someone wants to have it please comment here or send a DM in Discord.
Was ist mein Anteil
Ich habe bisher aus der Sicht der Gilde geschrieben, aber was ist denn nun mein Anteil?
Über den Airdrop habe ich die erwarteten 11 BCX Oshuur Constantia erhalten. Das entspricht derzeit in etwa einem Wert von 300 $.
Diese habe ich zu einer Level 3 (6BCX) und einer Level 2 (3BCX) kombiniert, somit bleiben 2 mal 1 BCX übrig.
Die Level 3 Constantia spiele ich im Hauptaccount.
Das mein Nebenaccount nur einen L1 Quix hat erhält dieser eine L1 Constantia delegiert. Die L2 und die verbliebene L1 gehen in die Vermietung und dürften knapp 20 DEC pro Tag bringen.
Aus dem Verkauf der beiden Title habe ich einen Anteil von etwas mehr als 600 SPS und knapp 65.000 DEC. Zusammen ist beides ca. 71 $ wert.
Bei einer Investition von ca. 2.850 $ habe ich damit bereits über 10 % der Kosten wieder drin.
Dazu kommt noch der Verkaufserlös des 3. Titels, sowie der 4 GF und 3 RF Promo Karten, wenn es irgendwann dazu kommt. Außerdem folgen später noch 5 weitere Riftwatchers Airdrops mit legendären Karten.
Meine 575 Riftwatchers Packs würden mich derzeit auf der Hive Engine 2.472,50 $ kosten. Ohne weitere Chance auf Drops.
Mit dem Sammelkauf über die Gilde sind meine Gildenkollegen und ich also bereits jetzt deutlich besser gefahren.
What is my share
I have written from the guild's point of view so far, but what is my cut?
Via the airdrop, I received the expected 11 BCX Oshuur Constantia. This is roughly equivalent to a $300 value at the moment.
I combined these into a Level 3 (6BCX) and a Level 2 (3BCX), leaving 2 times 1 BCX.
I play the Level 3 Constantia in my main account.
Because my secondary account has only one L1 Quix it gets one L1 Constantia delegated. The L2 and the remaining L1 go into the rental and should bring almost 20 DEC per day.
From the sale of the two Titles I have a share of just over 600 SPS and just under 65,000 DEC. Together, the two are worth about $71.
With an investment of about $2,850, I have already recouped over 10% of the costs.
Add to that the proceeds from the sale of the 3rd title, as well as the 4 GF and 3 RF promo cards, if it comes to that at some point. Also, 5 more Riftwatchers airdrops with legendary cards will follow later.
My 575 Riftwatchers packs would currently cost me $2,472.50 on the Hive Engine. With no further chance of drops.
So with the collectible purchase via the guild, my guildmates and I are already doing much better.
Wie geht es weiter?
Es gilt nun den 3. Titel und die gedroppten Karten zu einem guten Preis zu verkaufen.
Bei den Karten habe ich keine Sorge, dass dies früher oder später geschehen wird.
Auch für den Titel werden wir sicher einen neuen stolzen Besitzer finden, der bereit ist unseren Preis zu zahlen.
Ich selbst habe nun noch 60 Packs zu Öffnen, sobald ich genügend Tränke aus den Rewards erhalten habe. Das dürfte spätestens am Ende der Saison der Fall sein.
Dann habe ich aber mein Deck immer noch nicht ganz auf Gold. Ich werde noch einiges nachkaufen müssen. Plane dies aber erstmal nicht per Packkauf zu tun. Höchstens, wenn sich meine Gilde nochmals zu einem Upgrade der bestehenden Packs durchringt.
Ansonsten werde ich Stück für Stück die häufiger von mir bzw. von @archmage.app gespielten Karten gezielt kaufen und leveln.
Ein nächstes Update erfolgt zum nächsten Airdrop. Wann dieser sein wird, wissen nur die Götter von Splinterlands.

What happens next?
The task now is to sell the 3rd title and the dropped cards at a good price.
For the cards I have no worries that this will happen sooner or later.
Also for the title we will surely find a new proud owner who is willing to pay our price.
I myself now have 60 packs left to open once I get enough potions from the rewards. That should be the case by the end of the season at the latest.
But then I still don't have my deck completely on gold. I will have to buy some more. But I don't plan to do this by buying packs for the time being. At the most, if my guild will decide to upgrade the existing packs again.
Otherwise, I will buy and level the cards played more often by me or @archmage.app.
A next update will take place at the next airdrop. When this will be, only the gods of Splinterlands know.
