Reserve Bank of India Considers First Moves Towards Developing CBDC

The Reserve Bank of India, or RBI further investigates the implementing of the central bank digital currency, or CBDC. T Rabi Sankar, the deputy governor of RBI said that private digital currencies might be what makes CBDCs important adding that it could provide the users same uses as digital currencies like Bitcoin without Exposing them to Volatility. Sankar noted that the pilot projects in the retail and wholesale markets will soon go live
