South Korea's Kospi index rose 1.48% to 2,386.38 due to the increase in auto shares. Hyundai Motor added 15.65% while Kia Motors scored 9.7% . Asian trade in the Asia Pacific was tense on Monday, but investors were wary of US and China tensions.
