While the above screen showing the current "at the front gates level security" protecting the launch of the Beta Testing phase of Hive.Loans v0.1.0 starting tomorrow in a near future release this security numpad window concept will likely make it's way into all form of site and user security on-site soon enough. The closer to launch the hours tick the more and more security orientated design choices of the user experience keep coming to me. There is going to be a lot of sensitive data, crypto and account keys going through the site and these sort of things require the utmost security.

Will slowly start letting folks into the HL v0.1.0 Beta Testing here tomorrow I figure, although the site itself should be "online" per say in the next few hours. All Access Beta Passes shall be handed out first to HLSHARE holders as well as any technical help / red teamers that want to give me a hand testing stuff and once the initial backers, founders, holders and community is happy with the sites function we'll open it up to the wider public. I expect the beta testing phase to last around a month or so, with some restrictions in place to avoid potential disaster during testing. Will be pushing an absolutely massive github update for the project here in the next few hours after the finishing touches on a few things get finished on my end.

An exciting and stressful time for any developer, I certainly don't want to "cyberpunk" it per say, as rushing something like this, which ends up boiling down to what is effectively the first of it's kind, highly experimental software featuring new to the cryptosphere lending methods untested onto an open market could be extremely bad time if things grew too fast before proper testing could take place. Trying to avoid any catastrophic bugs and I'll continually re-enforce this as I have in the past: USE A TEST DUMMY ACCOUNT. Utilizing your main account on the site out of the box and untested could very well result in the accounts being lost.

I know how the site SHOULD operate, I've spent hundreds if not thousands of hours building it piece by piece, however until I know for certain after having enough time to observe it to ensure it's acting as intended I'll advise nobody use their main HIVE account, unless it's only to access functions on site that do not modify account keys: lending, trading, bankrolling are all pretty safe in comparison to borrowing on a technical level.

For those wishing to test out the borrowing side of things, if you haven't already got your recovery account set to either the @hive.loans account or select few other 3rd party white listed services then I advise you go right now and set that up. Without a "green lit" recovery account supported by the Hive.Loans service you'll be unable to borrow (although we may loosen this sliiiightly as the 3rd party service operators tie in their systems to ours to check for active borrowing individuals)

The above image is one example of a feature on-site that is accessible but not entirely working as intended, you might run into more or less of this than I would like, while I've tried to do function testing on all things in all situations there are still some unknowns as far as site performance and reactions to certain events goes. The beta testing phase opening up here tomorrow is just that.. Testing. We're doing it live net and as things are proven to work will ramp more and more features up until we're all satisfied it's running proper.. Then let the floodgates open. :D

Stuff might not look how it will in the full v1.0.0 release. Features may be added or removed according to developer and community discussion and feedback, this is still very much in it's infancy so while a certain level of criticality MUST be adhered to given the nature of the service, right off the hop in the first few days I'm hoping we find some serious bugs. The more we find now early on and patch the better off the whole thing as a whole will be down the line.

I gotta get my ass back to work and make sure stuff is ready to go here for the update to the web server and initial start of the new beta version. Thanks for reading this far if you did, as well as for the support and patience with me as I try and swing far above my ideal work load and stress levels to provide HIVE with something that we have needed for a while now. <3
