Overseas IT media such as McRumor said they found a sensor hiding in the new 16-inch MacBook Pro. It wasn't included in the previous MacBook Pro. It was not introduced in the release of the new product.

McRummer found a new sensor in a new 16-inch MacBook Pro service release distributed to an Apple Authorized Service Center. Afterwards, IFixit, which uploaded data on product disassembly, was able to find the sensor in the product.

After disassembling the product, iFixIt says the sensor appears to be a "lead angle sensor" to measure the angle when the laptop is opened by lifting the top of the MacBook Pro. The exact use is not known, but it is speculated that Apple is using it to diagnose the MacBook environment. For example, keep track of how many times you have opened or closed your laptop display, or at what angle.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro also has a new hinge. The magnet is embedded in the hinge part where the display top and bottom of the product abut. Patentley Apple filed and reported in January last year that Apple filed a patent for a new MacBook hinge system with a torsion bar. At that time, the patent appears to have been applied to the new product.

A scissor-type keyboard has also been shown to allow users to take advantage of unexpected features. The old Magic Keyboard's keycap can be ported to the new MacBook Pro for customization.

According to iFixIt, the scissor keyboard used on the new MacBook is the same as the old scissor style used in the 2015 model. Media also succeeded in porting the Magic Keyboard's command key to the new 16-inch MacBook Pro. The old part is 0.22mm thick and a bit small, but it doesn't matter at all.

In addition to improving CPU and graphics performance, Apple introduced a new 15- to 16-inch display, a louder speaker, and a different microphone.
