howdy frens

I hope you're doing well. It's a beautiful day here in the southern U.S. Might have to get out for a walk today - I have been inside for too long lol. If you've seen any of my posts lately you might know that I suffered 3rd degree burns to my dominant hand and it has me all fucked up. It's all good though. It's healing, it's just going to take a month or 2 to really get back to usable. Despite this, I have worked through it and stayed consistent with my posting and engagement here on Hive. You guys motivate me to keep going, and I thank you for that. Now - on to some degen shit lol.

Inji.com

Have you heard of inji? Maybe you saw someone here on Hive post about it. I did some time ago, but then I stopped seeing anything about it really. Something told me yesterday I should give it a look. What is inji? Well, it's a new social media platform with Hive and Twitter integration. That's really the only information I can find. Even the docs are very vague. I might be a degen ape, but I ALWAYS look at the docs for a projcect. This one kinda made me laugh... Just look.

I mean, damn. Sign me up! What a fucking interesting description. Really paints a picture for me as a user. I always check the FAQs too which.... This is it. The one single question is "What is inji?" and the 1 single fucking answer is "inji is an innovative new social media platform. Your average pleb is going to read then and be like "nah, I'm gunna go back to ~~~Facebook~~~ Meta now." But not me, no sir. I am a true degen. I love cryptic shit with little to no information. After reading these incredible docs (there's lietally just that 1 question and terms of service lol), I was ready to dive right in.

Perhaps my favorite thing about inji is the fact that you can sign up for an account with Hive Keychain or Hive Signer. Otherwise you can sign up with Twitter, and Ethereum wallet, or just an email and password. I chose to hop in with Hive Keychain because it's like 1 whole click. Above you can see what the interface looks like once you're logged in. Now let's see what kind of integrations there are. This is really the only thing that got me interested in the first place.

As far as Web3 integrations - there's Hive and Ethereum. For Hive, it is pretty damn customizable. Instead of just an upvote button, inji lets you vote using emjois! For simple minded creatures like us apes, this is more appealing HAHA. There's also the option to display your NFTs on your profile so you can showcase those Hive Punks! Each reaction emjoi can be configured to vote with a certain amount of power. Pretty sweet. In the actual interface, though, it doesn't show the weight for each so remember how you have it set up.

What really surprised me here is that not only is Hive pretty well integrated... It goes deeper than that. Even Hive Engine has support with LeoFinance. Hopefully other Hive Engine tokens like POB will be integrated as well. Can you imagine making the post and not having to type the tags? Like it just automatically does it because you have the token enabled. At least I think that's how it works.

I love that you can kinda customize your interface with widgets. I have always loved the idea of widgets since I got my first android phone. Hopefully more will be added but for now, here's your options. I'd love a News or Stocks widget. Maybe even weather? I dunno. I skipped over Web2 integrations because it's just Twitter. You can get Crypto prices for a select list of coins and a Hive widget that tracks your voting mana.

You can also enable tipping with different currencies. You can add your crypto wallets or just add your paypal for normies that don't use crypto. Interestingly too you can add your FIO protocol address. It's a sort of Name Service kinda like Ethereu, Name Service but this one FIO address can be linked to a ton of different crypto wallets. Instead of giving out 10 different addresses for different crypto, I just give you my FIO name.

As far as the interface goes - it is very simple. You can have a feed just for inji or you can have your Hive feed here as well. It's almost too simple though. There needs to be a way to access different communities in Hive tab instead of just Trending.

That's pretty much it.

I do like the look and feel. I don't know if I'm going to actually use it or not. Maybe I'll do a post or 2 from there just to see what that's like. It seems very new and has a long way to go before a lot of users will even consider it as a social media platform.

Do you use inji?

lemme know.
