Hello and welcome to the post, today we will be collecting feedback from LEO/HIVE community members, focusing on the members that are interested in getting involved with the new LBI project being launched on Monday the 7th. For more information please click here. The finer details on governance, etc still need polished but some things are better released after launch and we can work on conditions together.

To the point of today's post, let's start to gather some feedback so I can start to get a feel for what sort of investments LBI tokens holders would be interested in. Im thinking short term investments here, what should we be aiming for within the first 6-12 months? Any investments made in the beginning should be time tested and focused on producing an income over being a store of value are speculative bet as these investments will be the foundation of our fund. If you have a suggestion, please put them in the comments below. Strong foundation = strong fund.

NOTE - All LEO gained from LBI token sales will be staked. All investments below will be funded from LEO earnings.

1 - Leo Miner/mega miners

There are 2 ways to look at investing in LEO miners when looking at profits. One is pricing it in HIVE and the other is pricing it in LEO. Everyone prices these miners in HIVE and they are right because they are traded for HIVE on hive-engine but if you're exchanging LEO to buy miners, should you not price them in LEO? as HIVE is just a utility token in the transaction? The returns from LEO miners are paid in LEO, LEO is worth a lot more against HIVE today compared to a few months back. When miner RIO is looked at in terms of buying them with LEO, ballpark napkin figures suggest its around 40-50% which is pretty good for passive income.

2 - wLEO LP

No brainer here really, i'll be bold and say i think this will be in everyone's top 3. LEO & ETH, yes please, both perfect HODL tokens so why not earn some interest while holding them together. The ROI on this will go up and down over time but this should be one of our core foundation investments and maybe one of the funds biggest after staked LEO.

3 - Dividend Yielding HE tokens

There are few good income projects on HIVE that could be of use to us. We are focused on LEO but we will still earn some more HIVE and if can earn HIVE and convert that into LEO, then we should look into such things. There are not many that are sustainable but the good ones that come to mind are BRO, SPI and EDS. Investment style tokens on HE will increase over time with token creators now starting to release DEFI based/smart contract styled tokens.

4 - Other Crypto's

Should we look into HODLing some cryptos? Bitcoin or ETH as an example.

5 - Crypto Gaming

Dicty, splinterlands, risingstar to name a few. If anyone wants to play these games for token holders, we can work out a profit split. Gaming is not passive hence the profit split incentive and it's another thing to consider. Maybe not foundation material but we'd be talking 1-2% of the fund maximum.

6 - DEFI

This could be 1 of a million different things but in general, I would be thinking within the parameters of ETH, BTC and stable token LP's. If people are afraid of impermanent lose, simple staking can be done. Crazy farming and anything food-related will not be within our range of investment.

7 - Staking more LEO

We can always stake some of our LEO earnings and do a little bit of compounding. If we can earn 20%+ from curating others content, seems like a smart move as LEO is LBI's base currency so increasing this will only yield positive results long term for earnings and token price.

8 - Create a staked LEO leasing market

There is a leasing market on HIVE for those that wanna do curation on a bigger scale, why not LEO? We will have large amounts of liquid staked LEO, why not delegate some out to worthy accounts/projects for some passive income. This can be simply through DM's on discord are if there are any coders within the community are willing to work for free, a dlease like a website would be awesome and produce even more income for us.

Which 3 do you think we should research first?

Not saying we should only pick 3, just asking which would be your top 3.

There is no mention of traditional investing here such as stocks, bonds are precious metals. The reason being is I believe that 2021 is going to be an amazing year for crypto and when our bags are pumped in 12-18 months time and we are millionaires, our focus can turn toward storing the wealth gained before the bubble pops sometime in 2022. We could also look into wrapping LBI but weather it would have a good enough use case for something is another story and it could just 100% flop and be a waste of resources.

We are long term, not crypto long term like 2-3 months, real long term like 20-30 years. As different markets go through their cycles which take years to complete, new opportunities will come for us to jump from one market to another at optimum times to really help push growth but we need that foundation. From the above, which 3 do you think are best?
