Is Search Engines Traffic Not Necessary For Hive and Its Tribes?
We have admitted that hive and its tribes have poor SERP. I'm not sure what the reasons are.One of my observations is the duplicate content. Every hive post will be syndicated to the tribe's front end with a certain hashtag. Search engines do not like duplicate content. The other reason is that some of the hive authors post the same articles. As the authors have the copyright over the contents, they can post the same articles or contents on other platforms like steem, blurt, and others.
Does hive not need search engine traffic?
Search engines do not guarantee views. The views are from hive members. That is correct. In that case, most views come from members' visits. The reward is also from the upvotes. Aside from that, there are no central developers who profit from non-hive user traffic.I think hive does not need search engines.
How does hive grow?
Hive is a word of mouth phenomenon. I discovered Steem after reading a thread on bitcointalk.I believe hive will be similar to steem.Today, some hive whales are trying to fund a marketing program. I read a post that it is paid marketing. Hive will grow through a paid marketing campaign. That is a good idea.
How about the tribes?
The tribes are dependent on hives. If hive grows, the tribes will grow. Leo cooperates with some other developers to create new projects. This colaboration is a kind of campaign. Leo takes benefits from it. I do not see other tribes that are active in colaboration with other chain developers. I hope there will be more hive tribe developers will take benefit from this step. POB community has a lot of active users. The users discussed POB and its development. I hope this tribe will think to take advance steps to make a strategy on how to campaign on the front end. How about other tribes? Other tribes look inactive. They only focus on developing community in hive. The tokens are only additional rewards. Most tokens have no value in the market. Though some tokens have value, users can not get much benefit because the tokens are not liquid. You can visit hive-engines. You will see too many tokens that have volume trading under $100 daily.
The future of hive tribes
Hive tribes with their tokens will be passive community tokens. Their growth depends on the hive growth. There will be more hive tribe creations in the future. In a bad situation, there will be competition among hive users. Hive users will move from one hive to the new ones that have a higher chance to grow. Hive tribes that only give rewards with their tokens will be left by their users. More users will move their assets to more liquid tokens. You can see the highest daily trading volume in hive-engines. Those tokens will attract more users than other tokens.
Conclusion
Hive tribes should grow without waiting for the hive to grow. They should be active in campaigning for their platform for new users. Collaboration with other chain developers is one of the strategies to market hive tribes to other chain communities. Hive tribe developers need to think of search engines as the marketing strategy. They should also think about attracting new users to their front end. Buying back tokens, giving away and burning tokens can be a good campaign for hive and non-hive users.
