I just got back from a trip to Venice with 'the boys' and one of them mentioned FootballCoin.

"I'm telling you, man," he said. "FootballCoin is the next big thing."

It definitely absolutely probably isn't. But still. So I humoured him and asked him to explain. Which he couldn't do. But I was still curious so I Googled it and tried to find what the fuss is about.

In short, FootballCoin ($XFC) is a glorified and blockchainified (I made this word up) version of a video game that some of you may have played called 'Football Manager'. They say it "gives you the chance to showcase your managerial abilities by allowing you to create your perfect football team."

It operates on the BEP20 (Binance) chain and it is mostly available from WhiteBit.

The price (at the time of writing) is $0.008 with a 24-hour trading volume of around $120,000. The market cap is a little over 3 million, max supply 374 mln.

So the question is: should I buy some?

The answer is probably not. But I'll keep an eye on it.

I've crossposted this article on Publish0x and Bitcoinea.
