A new week, greetings to all Splinters Warriors in the community........

This is a new week and although it took me a while to publish my "Battle" of the past challenge on the "Kobold Miner", I didn't want to skip it, since my connection problems didn't let me do it in time, however, I'm here and I want to thank as every week the great team of "@splinterlands and especially @carrieallen, for making us better writers and editors, telling our story and strategies about this great card game that reminds me of one of the best stages of my life which was my childhood.

Getting a little bit into the subject, this challenge was a little bit complicated for me, so @carrieallen, you managed to surprise me again (๐Ÿ˜‚), since, the Fire Splinter is not one of my favorites in the game and I don't have it in a good level, however, this doesn't mean, that I didn't have fun and took a good opportunity to use the best of my cards to win a great battle, so you can see the strategy I used and how my strategy worked fitting perfectly with the battle rule.

*Before giving the detail of what my battle was, I will first describe a little what is this card "Kobold Miner" and what skills it has, since, it is one of the oldest cards in the game since its release.

Let's talk about the "KOBOLD MINER" and your skills

This is a "Common" type card from the "Alpha and Beta" editions and one of the first cards to show its power with the skill called "Sneak" in the game. Although I don't use this card or this Splinter much, I know very well the fire deck and what it can achieve, is part of being a good active player, knowing all the cards in order to know how to neutralize them, based on this, I know that the "Kobold Miner" is an excellent card in battle that can be used almost in any fight, due to the low mana that it costs to invoke it in the field, in that sense, it has a very good coupling in almost all the battle rules.

That said, I think it is an excellent card that, despite not having any other skill at higher levels, we can easily use it in conjunction with other very strong cards, in order to completely destroy our opponent's baseline. And in my battle I will show how in low mana battles, this one is incredible.

Time for Battle

Hello from the truth, time for the battle and to show the strategy I use to neutralize my opponent's attack. Although it was a fast and low mana battle, it was very clear the objective that I had, besides how we must correctly fit this specific rule that I will detail shortly, specifically when I detail completely my team and why I place them in each position.

*I hope you like and enjoy this short battle.

Rules of my battle

  • Mana: 16
  • Silenced Summoners: A very easy rule to understand, it's very simple to adhere to, basically what it causes on the battlefield, is to neutralize the intrinsic abilities that summoners provide to all monsters on the field.
  • Reverse Speed: Another rule very easy to understand, but that often confuses the players. Basically, the monsters with less speed are the ones that will attack first and the ones with more speed will simply be the last ones to attack.

My Team

**Malric Inferno
This was the summoner I chose for my battle, preferably and with a better strategy would be a "Talia Firestorm", for its low mana to use it, its great power of invocation and that does not provide skills in the field, perfect for this battle. However, I used my "Malric" who, of course, is also a great summoner and although he didn't make a difference in the battle, he helped me summon the monsters needed to obtain victory.
Molten Ogre
As one of the rules of battle is "Reverse Speed", I had to look for a good tank with the lowest speed and high health, so, I decided to use my "Molten Ogre" in battle. His 3 point melee attack power, 10 points of life and his ability to "Desmoralize", helped me to resist long enough in the battle to win it. Importantly, thanks to this ability, I was able to decrease the attack power of my opponent's monsters by one point, especially his "Haunted Spirit".
Furious Chicken
The great and useful "Chicken", I placed it in this position to be a decoy of some rank attack of my opponent, which happened because my opponent had in his ranks the "Twisted Jester" and his fearsome "Snipe" ability, so it worked perfectly as cannon fodder, which gave me enough time to attack and the rest of my cards did theirs.
Kobold Miner
The card for this challenge and a very useful one, since his great ability of "Sneak" allowed me to defeat his rank casters, especially his "Twisted Jester", where despite not having the increased power of my "Malric", my main objective was this, to damage his baseline, while my powerful "Molten Ogre" was in charge of his tank and my last card, the next one, was in charge of being able to weaken the attack of his monsters.
Halfling Alchemist**
The last card of my team and another fundamental pillar in this strategy, since it was the ideal card for this type of battles where the slowest are the first to attack, is here, that my "Halfling"did his great work weakening in attack to each card of my opponent and dodging each one of the attacks that were trying to tip him, since as his speed was of 1 point, he could carry out his mission perfectly.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

If my strategy worked very well, since my main objective was to take advantage of the low speed of my cards so that both my "Molten Ogre" and my "Halfling Alchemist" attacked first, this would allow me to have the advantage from the beginning in the battle. I used my Kobold Miner as second in command, which defeated my opponent's most dangerous card, his Twisted Jester.

In the next opportunities I hope to use my "Kobold Miner" much more often, the truth as I said is a great card and the fire team in the course of time has become one of the strongest, so soon I could experience a new power in my Fire Splinter.

Do you use KOBOLD MINER often? Why or why not?

If I have used it, however, as the Fire Splinter is not the strongest in my deck, I do not use it very often unless it is strictly necessary, but that does not mean, that I do not know exactly how to harness the great power of the Fire Splinter. In this sense I am really thinking about being able to go up from the eastern level, in order to use it more often.

Again a weekly challenge of this great blockchain based game called Splinterlands, if you want to know how to win real rewards with it join in without further delay.
