LeoFinance Will Be an Advertiser at Bitcoin 2022 This Week | Web3 Onboarding Campaign

If you've been keeping up to date with our team updates, then you'll know that we've spent a lot of time and resources building the LeoFinance Team over the past 18 months.

This has grown to include a wide range of new talent both in terms of developers and specialists (Growth, Marketing, etc.).

With the launch of PolyCUB, we felt it was time to make our first foray into the more "traditional marketing" elements that are possible in the crypto space. This came in the form of hundreds of Press Releases through more than 50 different PR outlets including Cointelegraph and Bitcoin.com.

Now, we've built out our scope even further. We've just hired a marketing team to help us expand LeoFinance's reach and be a core advertiser at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami this week.

We're doing this through Geo-Targeted ads: targeting the social ad space of anyone attending Bitcoin 2022 and showing them roughly 5 different ad campaigns talking about LeoFinance and the Web3 Ecosystem that we've built.

The goals of these ads are different - each has their own Call to Action and funnel process. In this post, we'll briefly talk about these ads, what they are and what we're aiming to accomplish as LeoFinance takes yet another step toward mass adoption for our Web3 Ecosystem of applications.

Bitcoin 2022 Ad, CTA #1:

Join the LeoFinance Discord

We'll be running multiple ads simultaneously and track the performance of each every closely. This is as much a trial run for the future as it is an effort to onboard users in the present.

The first Call-to-Action will be to join the LeoFinance Discord. Personally, I expect this to be the most effective ad for a number of reasons:

  1. It can be overwhelming to go to a place like leofinance.io and try to navigate everything happening on it + create an account and get started with little guidance
  2. Most people in crypto these days know Discord and use it for other communities they're interested in
  3. Our community is highly active on Discord and thus, will help anyone who steps in and starts asking questions in general chat
  4. The onboarding process to get them from Discord to LeoFinance.io account is much simpler than doing it in the dark and having them try to navigate on their own

All of this being said, we never know how the CTAs will perform before we try. This is speculation, but I do believe this will be the most effective way to onboard new community members.

This #2 point is interesting to me. We're essentially selling them (in the ad) on the idea of LeoFinance as a community like other crypto communities. "Join the discord to join the most active Web3 community". We drive them into Discord and from there they can familiarize themselves with the community and the applications and opportunities that we've built in our ecosystem.

With this ad, the goal is to add at least 500 new members to our Discord during the Bitcoin 2022 conference. Their levels of activity will vary greatly but we're hoping to see a big spike in activity on Discord in terms of new users added and people chattering and asking questions.

There are currently 2700 members in our Discord.

Bitcoin 2022 Ad, CTA #2:

Our second ad will focus on driving people to LeoFinance.io itself. We are unsure of the effectiveness of doing this because we've never really run ads for LeoFinance.io.

This is literally going to drive them to the homepage of LeoFinance where they'll see this:

There are 2 things that we want to happen here:

  1. They hit "Get Started" and create a Hive (LeoFinance) account
  2. They see The Daily Leo in the bottom right corner and sign up to receive the newseltter.

While we've never done paid ads to drive traffic to LeoFinance.io, we have had Tik Toks and Press Releases drive traffic to LeoFinance.io and that traffic has led to tangible results in the form of new account signups and new Daily Leo newsletter sign ups.

A newsletter sign up keeps the person engaged and potentially coming back over the months and years that they get those LeoFinance Newsletters in their inbox. Every week they'll continue to get that newsletter and I suspect that the brand recognition that brings over time will eventually lead them to "hey what's this LeoFinance thing and how can I start earning?"

We'll track the effectiveness of this campaign during the Bitcoin 2022 conference based on how many newsletter and account sign ups we get.

Bitcoin 2022 Ad, CTA #3:

The 3rd call to action that we'll be A/B split testing during Bitcoin 2022 is a social media follow campaign. This one requires a much smaller budget and cost per action as the action is much simpler and so is the targeting.

This will send people to the LeoFinance Twitter, Tik Tok, Facebook Group, YouTube Channel and tell them why they should follow us and keep up with the way we disseminate news about the crypto space and our Web3 ecosystem.


As we approach Bitcoin 2022, we'll show the ad creative we've worked on with the marketing agency and see what the community thinks. This is a small marketing campaign to test the waters and see how this geo-fencing advertising works: where we fence around a physical area (the few blocks surrounding the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami) and then run targeted ads to those people as we know they're already interested and involved in crypto.

There are so many conferences these days for crypto all over the world. If we see some good results from this, we'll continue to push for new ad campaigns and scale as we go. This is really exciting and I think our community is about to get a whole lot bigger.

There is also a #4 call to action but we are waiting for some approvals to go through. This would drive traffic to LeoMobile specifically, but we will need to ensure a few other things are in order. We're working hard on this but it may not be ready by Bitcoin 2022. Regardless, the other 3 call to actions will 100% be ready by Bitcoin 2022 so we're excited to see how it plays out.
