LeoThreads Update | Edit Your Threads on the Hive Blockchain!
Microblogging on the Hive blockchain is a dynamic and unique experience. While everyone is making a fuss over Twitter and Elon taking it over, we've been quietly slaving away and building the best Web3 Microblogging app on the planet.
LeoThreads sees a constant stream of new updates. Our latest feature is the ability to edit Threads that you've posted. This comes as a highly requested addition by the LeoFinance community.
Editing a Microblog on the Hive Blockchain Hits Different
It's different when you edit a Microblog on a blockchain vs. editing it on something like say, Twitter.
When you edit your microblog, the old version still lives on the Hive blockchain. We all know this: when you edit a blog post, for example, the old version still lives in the original block on the chain.
This is super cool because it means that all content you post is still immutable. Yes, you can edit your Thread and change the content displayed on the frontend... But if anyone wants to see the historical revisions of that thread, they can simply head over to their favorite Hive Blockchain Explorer and see the old version(s) of that Thread.

In the example below, we'll show you how to edit a Thread. It's super easy and intuitive. Below that tutorial, we'll show you how to view the old revisios of a Thread on the Hive blockchain.
How to Edit a LeoThread
Let's say you made a little oopsie when posting your latest Microblog on the Hive blockchain! Don't want that typo living on forever!
Step 1). Make a Thread (with a mistake)
Step 2). Click the 4 Dots to Open the "More Options" Menu
Step 3). In the Edit Window, Make Your Changes and Click "Edit" to Confirm Them On-Chain
Voila, You've Edited Your Thread!
View a Thread's History On the Hive Blockchain
For this, you'll just need a link to the thread + a Hive block explorer.
Step 1). Click on a Thread That's Been Edited
Step 2). See the Edited On-Chain Comment
Step 3). View the Original Block When the Thread Was First Posted On-Chain
Here you can see what was originally said when the Thread was posted on the Hive blockchain. Typos and all!
