LeoGlossary: Presearch
Presearch is a community run, decentralized search engine. It is focused upon bringing more privacy to users along with rewarding them for their activity. It is a cryptocurrency based platform with their own token called PRE.
It is an open source project meant to provide an alternative to Google and the other centralized behemoths in the search arena. By involved community members from all over the world, the idea is to build usage and awareness.
Advertising
Google and other technology companies make a fortune off advertising. With Presearch, the model is to have advertisers stake PRE to get better ranking in the search according to the associated keywords.
Since one's data is not tracked, privacy is provided. This means that advertisers will not be fed the data to target users. This is why Presearch is utilizing a novel approach.
Node System
The idea is to decentralize by having the community members run nodes. Since they are likely to be unrelated, this means there could be global coverage providing a distributed network of node that cannot be controlled or targeted.
