SplinterGlossary: Splinterlands Tournaments

Splinterlands tournaments are customizable scheduled events in which players battle for a prize pool.

There are two modes for tournaments, corresponding to the two formats, Wild and Modern. Each tournament falls into one of them.

There is also a special type of tournaments - open tournaments - which are skill-based, and where the players' collections are irrelevant.

Tournaments come in a few variations (types):

• Anytime Tournament
• Single Elimination
• Sit-and-Go

Anyone can create a custom tournament, for a small DEC fee, plus the prize pool, which will be held in escrow and paid upon the completion of the tournament to the winners.
