BANG! Defense: Interesting News: New Leagues and New Leaderboards (ENG/ITA)

It's been more than four days since I've published a post on my Hive blog because I've been really busy, and today I'm returning to write about a game I haven't written about since September 7, 2022: BANG! Defense.

BANG! Defense is a Tower Defense Game that is fun, simple and immediate to play and is also a game built and developed on the Hive blockchain. The creator and developer of the game is @choof (creator) and the @hashkings team is also collaborating on the development of the game. BANG! Defense has been playable since June 10, 2022 but is still in the Closed Beta stage of development.

While BANG! Defense is a game that is really easy to understand and start playing on the other it is an unuser friendly game in terms of some of the mechanisms for acquiring certain game assets such as crates and keys to open crates.

In fact, to simplify the process of opening a Weapon Crate I wrote a step-by-step guide in the past: BANG! Defence: How to Open a Weapon Crate in the Closed Beta

But the development team is doing a nice job and since the date of my last post on BANG! Defense some interesting changes have been made.

In today's post I want to update my readers on these very interesting changes starting with Dashboard 2.0.

Dashboard 2.0

The Dashboard 2.0 is still in the testing and development stage but I already like it a lot because it will be a major step forward in game development because it will simplify many operations that are quite complicated today because they require more steps.

In Dashboard 2.0 there is much more information in one screen than in the first version, but most importantly there is a useful menu to explore all the features of the game:

Dashboard
Play
Leaderboards
Inventory
Crates
Home

Very very useful compared to now will be the Crates section that will make it much easier to open Crates...

...and will also greatly simplify the operations of purchasing Crates and Keys to open Crates.

At the moment Dashboards 2.0 is in the testing phase and you cannot perform the operations on the Crates but you can perform the game operations:

Start game
Turn game NFTs on and off.

New Leaderboards

An interesting change has recently been made to the reward distribution mechanism.

The first reward distribution mechanism was structured with a single leaderboards that incentivized accumulating the most NFT to increase Collection Power.

This reward mechanism proved to be counterproductive in attracting new players because a few players, those with the highest CP scores were getting almost the entire daily reward pool.

With such a reward mechanism it is much more profitable to transfer NFTs to another player in exchange for a percentage of the rewards than to play, and I would not be surprised if the players in the top positions are groups of players! (this is just a possible hypothesis).

Starting November 26, 2022, new leaderboards have been introduced that follow a reward distribution mechanism similar to the leagues in Splinterlands.

Instead of a single league and a single leaderboard now there are 4 leagues and 4 leaderboards. In the table below you can see the entry requirements in Collection Power and the percentage of the Reward Pool allocated to each league.

This is another change that I really like because now even new players are incentivized to play and even old players who have not very high CP like me are incentivized to play more.

Final Considerations

I like all the recent changes to the reward mechanisms and I like the new Dashboard 2.0 which when fully functional will be an important element in simplifying the management of game assets and indirectly will also be important and useful in attracting new players.

As of October 15, 2022, the presale ended and now to start playing Bang Defense you need to purchase at least one NFT of type Weapon from other players from the market outside the game at https://nftm.art/buy/bguns

The introduction of in-game leagues and new leaderboards will be an important step forward and will be an important incentive to play in addition to the incentive introduced on October 15, 2022.

In fact, from October 15, 2022, it is also possible to receive as game rewards Crates according to the probability percentages that you can see in the table below.

The probability of receiving a Weapon crate is 33.33%. The probability of receiving a Tower crate is 66.66%

The market value of a Weapon crate is 1.5 SWAP.HIVE The market value of a Tower crate is 3.4 SWAP.HIVE

Personally Bang Defense is a game I enjoy and when I have some free time I enjoy shooting bouncing balls, crocodiles and flying birds and with the new changes I should also get more rewards.

Sono più di quattro giorni che non pubblico un post sul mio Hive blog perchè sono stato davvero molto impegnato e oggi torno a scrivere su un gioco su cui non scrivo dal 7 settembre 2022: BANG! Defense.

BANG! Defense è un Tower Defense Game divertente, semplice e immediato da giocare ed è anche un gioco costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive. Il creatore e sviluppatore del gioco è @choof (creatore) e allo sviluppo del gioco collabora anche il team di @hashkings. BANG! Defense è giocabile dal 10 giugno 2022 ma è ancora nella fase di sviluppo Closed Beta. Se da un lato BANG! Defense è un gioco davvero facile da capire e iniziare a giocare dall'altro è un gioco decisamente poco user friendly per quanto riguarda alcuni meccanismi di acquisto di alcuni assets di gioco come ad esempio i crates e le chiavi per aprire i crates.

Ma il team di sviluppo sta facendo un bel lavoro e dalla data del mio ultimo post su BANG! Defense sono state apportate delle interessanti modifiche.

Nel post di oggi voglio aggiornare i miei lettori proprio su queste interessanti modifiche partendo dalla Dashboard 2.0.

Dashboard 2.0

La Dashboard 2.0 è ancora in fase di test e sviluppo ma mi piace già molto perchè sarà un importante passo in avanti nello sviluppo del gioco perchè semplificherà molte operazioni che oggi sono abbastanza complicate perchè richiedono più passaggi.

Nella Dashboard 2.0 ci sono molte più informazioni in una sola schermata rispetto alla prima versione ma soprattutto c'è un utile menu per esplorare tutte le funzionalità del gioco:

Molto molto utile rispetto ad ora sarà la sezione Crates che semplificherà di molto le operazioni di apertura dei Crates...

... e semplificherà molto anche le operazioni di acquisto dei Crates e delle Keys per aprire i Crates.

Al momento la Dashboards 2.0 è in fase di test e non è possibile effettuare le operazioni sui Crates ma è possibile effettuare le operazioni di gioco:

Start game
Attivare e disattivare gli NFT di gioco.

Nuove Leaderboards

Di recente è stata apportata una interessante modifica al meccanismo di distribuzione delle ricompense.

Il primo meccanismo di distribuzione delle ricompense era strutturato con una sola leaderboards che incentivava ad accumulare il maggior numero di NFT per aumentare il Collection Power.

Questo meccanismo di ricompensa si è rivelato controproducente per attirare i nuovi giocatori perchè pochi giocatori, quelli con il maggior punteggio CP ottenevano quasi tutta la reward pool giornaliera.

Con un meccanismo di ricompensa di questo tipo è molto più profittevole trasferire NFTs ad un altro giocatore in cambio di una percentuale delle rewards che giocare e non mi meraviglierei se i giocatori nelle prime posizioni sono gruppi di giocatori! (questa è solo una possibile ipotesi).

Dal 26 novembre 2022 sono state introdotte le nuove leaderboards che seguono un meccanismo di distribuzione delle ricompense simile alle leghe di Splinterlands.

Invece di una singola lega e una singola leaderboard adesso ci sono 4 leghe e 4 leaderboards. Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere i requisiti di accesso in Collection Power e la percentuale della Reward Pool destinata ad ogni lega.

Questa è un'altra modifica che mi piace molto perchè adesso anche i nuovi giocatori sono incentivati a giocare e anche i vecchi giocatori che hanno un CP non molto alto come me sono incentivati a giocare di più.

Considerazioni Finali

Mi piacciono tutte le recenti modifiche apportate ai meccanismi di ricompensa e mi piace la nuova Dashboard 2.0 che quando completamente funzionale sarà un elemento importante per semplificare la gestione degli assets del gioco e indirettamente sarà importante e utile anche per attirare nuovi giocatori.

Dal 15 ottobre 2022 è terminata la presale e adesso per iniziare a giocare a Bang Defense è necessario acquistare almeno un NFT di tipo Weapon dagli altri giocatori dal mercato esterno al gioco di https://nftm.art/buy/bguns

L'introduzione delle leghe di gioco e delle nuove leaderboards sarà un importante passo avanti e sarà un importante incentivo per giocare che si aggiunge all'incentivo introdotto il 15 ottobre 2022.

Infatti dal 15 ottobre 2022 è possibile ricevere come ricompensa di gioco anche i Crates secondo le percentuali di probabilità che puoi vedere nella tabella seguente.

La probabilità di ricevere un Weapon crate è del 33.33% La probabilità di ricevere un Towewr crate è del 66.66%

Il valore di mercato di un Weapon crate è di 1.5 SWAP.HIVE Il valore di mercato di un Tower crate è di 3.4 SWAP.HIVE

Personalmente Bang Defense è un gioco che mi piace e quando ho un pò di tempo libero mi diverto a sparare a palle rimbalzanti, a coccodrilli e uccelli volanti e con le nuove modifiche dovrei ottenere anche un maggior numero di ricompense.
