Today the @splinterlands account published a post with information and details about the release of the new Chaos Legion card collection.
**
* I wanted to summarize all the information contained in the Splinterlands announcement post in tabular form for quicker and faster reference.
The first phase will then be the pre-sale. The pre-sale will begin on Monday October 18, 2021 and will end after 30 days, on November 17, 2021.
**Packs of cards will cost $4 each and can be purchased using:
- DEC tokens: the market value of the DEC tokens at the time of purchase will be taken into account
- SPS tokens: those who purchase card packs directly using SPS tokens will receive a 10% discount on the purchase price.
- Credits**
Compared to Untamed card packs, the price of Chaos Legion card packs is exactly double: $4 each. On the other hand, the conversion value of the cards of the Chaos Legion collection into DEC is half that of the Untamed cards.

Airdrops
* There are 14 airdrops planned for those who purchase Chaos Legion card packs, and buying the card packs early in the presale will allow you to participate in all 14 planned airdrops. Each time 1 million Chaos Legion card packs are sold there will be an airdrop that will have as a prize a certain number of cards from the Chaos Legion collection to be distributed. The mechanism of the airdrops is similar to the airdrops that took place for the Untamed card packs but with some differences.
For the Untamed collection the airdrops occurred every 100000 packs of cards sold. For the Chaos of Legion collection there will be an airdrop every time 1 million packs are sold. **The first airdrop will be exclusively for those who participate in the pre-sale and a prize of 1 limited edition promo card will be guaranteed to those who purchase a minimum of 50 packs of cards.
The Vouchers
* Vouchers are definitely a novelty! To buy Chaos Legion card packs during the presale you will need to have a voucher for each card pack you want to buy.
No Voucher = No Party! (No Pack)
This is the big news introduced by the team of Splinterlands that actually adds a new use case to the governance tokens of Splinterlands: the SPS tokens or more precisely to the SPS tokens staked.
To the one million packs of cards that can be purchased during the presale will correspond the distribution of one million Vouchers.
The Vouchers will be tokenizable game items and therefore can be transferred, bought and sold on markets outside the Splinterlands game such as on Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/). **
The Voucher token distribution mechanism
* Starting from the first day of the presale of the Chaos Legion collection card packs and every day for the duration of 30 days, an amount of 33333 Vouchers will be distributed to players who have staked their SPS tokens according to the following formula:
33333 / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player
If, for example, the distribution of vouchers was today and not October 18, 2021, each player would get 0.000357 vouchers for each SPS token staked.
I have been staking my SPS tokens since day one and have a total of 6903 SPS tokens (staked).
With this amount of SPS tokens I would get 2.46 Voucher tokens per day (assuming today was the first day of the presale) and I could buy 2 packs of Chaos Legion cards per day and a total of 73 packs of cards.
In the calculations of the previous table I did not consider the limit of 1 million SPS tokens (staked) and therefore I should have received a higher number of tokens.
In fact for the distribution of Voucher tokens will be considered for each player a maximum limit of 1 million SPS tokens (staked).
In reality, the amount of Voucher tokens I expect to get will be lower for the following reasons:

Vouchers will push players who have liquid SPS tokens to stake them, and thus increase the total amount of staked SPS tokens.

Holders of more than 1 million staked SPS tokens may create new accounts and distribute SPS tokens across multiple accounts, again increasing the total number of staked SPS tokens.

Will the value of SPS tokens go up?
Mine is only a prediction and not a financial advice** but I really think that the value of SPS tokens will increase and in fact already today, after few hours from Splinterlands announcement, the value of SPS tokens increased by +29.6%.
The SPS tokens in circulation are 220000 (September 24, 2021) and the total supply will increase to reach the maximum supply of 3 billion tokens.
The large number of SPS tokens that will be in circulation in the future is not something I consider positive but on the other hand the positive aspect is that SPS tokens already have several use cases and will have more in the future.
Currently, SPS tokens:
- can be staked to obtain a passive income
- Are the entry requirement for Splinterlands tournaments.
- can be used to add liquidity to some pools
In the near future:

they will be the base of calculation to receive Voucher tokens

will allow to have a 10% discount on the purchase of packs of cards from the Chaos Legion collection
In the future SPS tokens will be added to DEC tokens in the rewards of game battles won and will have other use cases and will always be a requirement for access to future promotions and game activities as highlighted in the last post published by @splinterlans:

In fact if I bought the SPS tokens on Hive Engine I would have spent 28.45 HIVE and I would have bought 48.73 SPS tokens (image below).
Instead, I purchased SPS tokens from the SWAP subsection of the POOL section of TribalDex (https://tribaldex.com/dieselpools/) and with the same amount of SWAP.HIVE tokens, I bought just over 50 SPS tokens.

My purchasing goals
* Before today's announcement of Splinterlands I thought I would be able to buy at least 200 packs of Chaos Legion cards and to make the purchase I intended to use the HBD tokens that I am continuing to accumulate in my wallet.
With the price of $4 per pack I may be able to buy fewer packs of cards but I still have a few days before October 18 so I may still be able to meet my minimum purchase goal. Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain based game and it is also a game developed and built on my favorite blockchain (Hive) so I will try to buy as many card packs as possible during the presale. Based on my calculations and predictions I will definitely have to buy token vouchers in order to finalize my purchase and when the Voucher tokens are distributed I will re-evaluate my purchase goals also based on the price the Voucher tokens will have...

Oggi l'account @splinterlands ha pubblicato un post con informazioni e dettagli sul rilascio della nuova collezione di carte Chaos Legion.

* Ho voluto riassumere tutte le informazioni contenute nel post di annuncio di Splinterlands in forma tabellare per una più veloce e rapida consultazione.
La prima fase sarà quindi quella della prevendita. La prevendita inizierà lunedì 18 ottobre 2021 e terminerà dopo 30 giorni, il 17 Novembre 2021.
I pacchi di carte costeranno 4$ l'uno e potranno essere acquistati utilizzando:
- i token DEC: sarà considerato il valore di mercato dei token DEC al momento dell'acquisto
- i token SPS: chi acquisterà i pacchi di carte direttamente utilizzando i token SPS avrà uno sconto del 10% sul prezzo di acquisto.
- i Crediti
Rispetto ai pacchi di carte Untamed il prezzo dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion è esattamente il doppio: 4$ l'uno. Il valore di conversione in DEC delle carte della collezione Chaos Legion è invece la metà rispetto alle carte Untamed.

Airdrops
* Sono previsti 14 airdrops per chi acquista i pacchi di carte Chaos Legion e comprare i pacchi di carte già in fase di prevendita permetterà di partecipare a tutti e 14 gli airdrops previsti. Ogni volta che 1 milione di pacchi di carte Chaos Legion sarà venduto ci sarà un airdrop che ha come premio un certo numero di carte della collezione Chaos Legion da distribuire. Il meccanismo degli airdrops è simile agli airdrops avvenuti per i pacchi di carte Untamed ma con alcune differenze.
Per la collezione Untamed gli airdrops si sono susseguiti ogni 100000 pacchi di carte venduti. Per la collezione Chaos of Legion ci sarà un airdrop ogni volta che 1 milione di pacchi saranno venduti. **Il primo airdrop sarà destinato esclusivamente a chi partecipa alla prevendita e sarà garantito il premio di 1 carta promo in edizione limitata a chi acquista un minimo di 50 pacchi di carte.
I Voucher
* I voucher rappresentano decisamente una novità! Per comprare i pacchi di carte Chaos Legion durante la prevendita sarà necessario avere un voucher per ogni pacco di carte che si vuole acquistare.
No Voucher = No Party! (No Pack)
Questa è la grande novità introdotta dal team di Splinterlands che di fatto aggiunge un nuovo caso d'uso ai token di governance di Splinterlands: i token SPS o più precisamente ai token SPS messi in stato di staked.
Al milione di pacchi di carte acquistabili durante la prevendita corrisponderà la distribuzione di un milione di Voucher.
I Voucher saranno degli elementi del gioco tokenizzabili e quindi potranno essere trasferiti, comprati e venduti sui mercati esterni al gioco di Splinterlands come ad esempio su Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/). **
Il meccanismo di distribuzione dei token Voucher
* A partire dal primo giorno della prevendita dei pacchi di carte della collezione Chaos Legion e ogni giorno, per la durata di 30 giorni, un quantitativo di 33333 Voucher saranno distribuiti ai giocatori che hanno messo in staking i propri token SPS secondo la seguente formula:
33333 / totale SPS staked * SPS staked by player
Se ad esempio la distribuzione dei voucher avvenisse oggi e non il 18 ottobre 2021 ogni giocatore otterrebbe 0.000357 voucher per ogni token SPS messo in stake.
Io ho messo i miei token SPS in stake fin dal primo giorno e ho un totale di 6903 token SPS (staked).
Con questo quantitativo di token SPS otterrei 2.46 token Voucher al giorno (sempre se oggi fosse il primo giorno della prevendita) e potrei comprare 2 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion al giorno e un totale di 73 pacchi di carte.
Nei calcoli della tabella precedente non ho considerato il limite del milione di token SPS (staked) e quindi avrei dovuto ricevere un numero di token maggiore.
Infatti ai fini della distribuzione dei token Voucher verrà considerato per ogni giocatore un limite massimo di 1 milione di token SPS (staked).
In realtà il quantitativo di token Voucher che prevedo di ottenere sarà inferiore per i seguenti motivi:

I voucher spingeranno i giocatori che hanno i token SPS liquidi a metterli in stake e quindi aumenterà il quantitativo totale di token SPS staked.

Chi ha più di 1 milione di token SPS staked potrebbe creare nuovi account e distribuire i token SPS su più account producendo anche in questo caso ad un aumento del numero totale dei token SPS in staked

Salirà il valore dei token SPS?
La mia è solo una previsione e non è un consiglio finanziario** ma penso proprio che il valore dei token SPS aumenterà e infatti già oggi, dopo poche ore dall'annuncio di Splinterlands, il valore dei token SPS è aumentato del +29.6%.
I token SPS in circolazione sono 220000 (24 settembre 2021) e la total supply aumenterà fino a raggiungere la massima supply di 3 miliardi di token.
Il grande numero di token SPS che sarà in circolazione in futuro non è un aspetto che considero positivamente ma dall'altro lato l'aspetto positivo è che i token SPS hanno già diversi casi d'uso e ne avranno altri in futuro.
Attualmente i token SPS:
- permettono di essere messi in stake per ottenere una rendita passiva
- sono il requisito di accesso per i tornei di Splinterlands
Nell'immediato futuro:

saranno la base di calcolo per ricevere i token Voucher
-
permetteranno di avere uno sconto del 10% sull'acquisto dei pacchi di carte della collezione Chaos Legion
In futuro i token SPS affiancheranno i token DEC nelle ricompense delle battaglie di gioco vinte e avranno altri casi d'uso e saranno sempre un requisito per accedere a promozioni e attività di gioco future come evidenziato nell'ultimo post pubblicato da @splinterlans:

Per i motivi sopra esposti, oggi ho deciso di utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE che avevo nel mio wallet di Hive Engine per comprare dei token SPS da aggiungere al quantitativo di token in mio possesso.
Per effettuare il mio acquisto avevo due opzioni: Hive Engine o la sezione Pool di Tribal DEX
Confrontare i due metodi di acquisto dei token di secondo livello di Hive è un'operazione che consiglio sempre di fare.
Infatti se acquistavo i token su Hive Engine avrei speso 28.45 HIVE e avrei comprato 48.73 token SPS(immagine seguente).
Ho invece acquistato i token SPS dalla sottosezione SWAP della sezione POOL di TribalDex (https://tribaldex.com/dieselpools/) e con lo stesso quantitativo di token SWAP.HIVE ho comprato poco più di 50 token SPS.

I miei obbiettivi di acquisto
* Prima dell'annuncio odierno di Splinterlands pensavo di riuscire a comprare almeno 200 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion e per effettuare l'acquisto avevo intenzione di utilizzare i token HBD che sto continuando ad accumulare nel mio wallet.
Con il prezzo di 4$ per pacco forse riuscirò a comprare un numero inferiore di pacchi di carte ma ho ancora qualche giorno prima del 18 ottobre e quindi potrei ancora farcela a raggiungere il mio obbiettivo minimo di acquisto. Splinterlands è il gioco basato su blockchain preferito ed è anche un gioco sviluppato e costruito sulla mia blockchain preferita (Hive) e per questo motivo cercherò di comprare il maggior numero di pacchi di carte possibile durante la prevendita. In base ai miei calcoli e alle mie previsioni dovrò sicuramente comprare dei token voucher per poter concludere il mio acquisto e quando i token Voucher saranno distribuiti valuterò l'acquisto in base al prezzo che avranno...
