Focus On Summer Seeds and the utility of SHARES/HIVE ratio + My Latest Quests Reward
On August 25, 2022 ended the Presale Beta of dCrops which is an NFT-based farming game developed and built on the blockchain of Hive.
With the end of the BETA presale Dcrops entered the BETA stage of development and players started opening BETA packs. I too opened 10 BETA packs out of the 50 packs I purchased during the presale and in my previous post I showed the cards I found. So now there are many more cards that can be used within the game and can be bought and sold in the marketplace.
When dCrops was in Alpha version there were a total of 25 usable seed cards and only 5 seed cards could be used during a season. Now in each season there are 12 seed cards that can be used and in the image below you can see the 12 seed type cards that you can use in the current season on dCrops which is summer.
Those who read my posts know that I like to do calculations and evaluations and in the past I have shown the criteria I choose to follow to select seed cards to buy which is based on the calculation of the SHARES Points/HIVE Ratio.
The SHARES Points/HIVE ratio indicates the minimum number of Shares points obtainable from the use of a Seed card during a season for each HIVE token spent in the purchase of the Seed card.
SHARES points are an important in-game coin because they allow you to enter the Leaderboard, which distributes CROP token rewards each season based on the amount of SHARES points earned by each player during a single season of dCrops.
To calculate the SHARE Points/HIVE ratio I had created a table several months ago with my spreadsheet. Today I updated that table with the addition of the new BETA seed type cards that can be used during the current season (summer).
I also added new fields such as the field to calculate the SHARES/HIVE Points ratio in the case of purchasing Seed cards using CROP tokens as the payment method instead of using SWAP.HIVE tokens.
In the image below you can see the table I updated today with the calculation of the SHARES Points/HIVE ratio for each usable seed card in the current season.
The first useful information that can be obtained by looking at the values of the SHARES Points/HIVE ratio is that the price in CROP token of Seed cards is always higher than the price in SWAP.HIVE except in one case (Basil). This means that it is cheaper to buy a card using SWAP.HIVE tokens instead of CROP tokens.
The best possible purchase today, September 10, based on the SHARE points/HIVE ratio is the Rare Watermelon card, which has the highest SHARES points/HIVE ratio value: 28.95. This means that for every HIVE spent to purchase a Watermelon card I will get 28.95 Shares points.
The worst purchase is the Sunflower legendary card because its high market price produces as a result a really low SHARES Points/HIVE ratio value: 0.25.
The legendary card Sunflower is a great card because it has two abilities:
- it can be planted in two seasons
- keeps producing till season ends + 10% chance No Cooldown.
But it is at the same time a card that is too expensive and not very productive for the player who is focused on the Farm game mode of dCrops. With an amount of 188 HIVE it is possible to buy many LAND type cards and many cheaper SEED type cards and the production of Shares points would be enormously higher ;)
Note: the SHARES Points/HIVE calculation is especially useful for players who have chosen to specialize in the Farm mode of dCrops. The player who also wants to easily complete the seasonal Quests and who will also want to specialize in the new game modes (Cooking, Crafting, ...) when they are active will instead have to try to have a sufficiently varied and large collection of NFTs.
My latest Quests reward
Before I end this post, I want to share the opening of the chests I received as a reward for completing the Spring Seasonal Quests.
If you are a new dCrops player, I would like to remind you that in order to receive the seasonal quests reward, you must complete all of the quests and not just part of them.
In order to have a better chance of completing the quests without being forced to press on the Reroll button which has a cost in CROP tokens I continue to follow the strategy of not selling all the agricultural products (Crops) obtained from my harvests. I try to keep at least 4 Crops in my inventory for each crop type and quality level (1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars).
In the following image you can see the Quests I received this season.
This week I was lucky because I will complete the quests easily. My strategy once again proved useful because I did not use the Reroll function and I completed the Sell 2 Beetroot quest only because I had kept 2 two-star quality beetroots in my inventory.
In the following image you can see what I found in the 15 chests I opened today.
I found inside the chests:
- 12 Boosters
- 2 NFT Iron Ore (market value per single NFT: 8,799 SWAP.HIVE)
- 1 NFT Stone (market value: 0.890 SWAP.HIVE)
The total estimated reward value of the Quests is 18.4880 HIVE = $10.46
Final Considerations
Claimdrop of the Promo Corn card from the Shop section of dCrops has been possible for three days now. I with a total of 50 BETA packs purchased had a 25% chance of receiving the card but I was not lucky. Instead, I was very lucky in opening my first 10 BETA packs because I found the legendary Stove card.
I decided to test the market and put my Stove card up for sale at the lowest market price and I hope steemshiro does not read this post otherwise he will put up the lowest market price since we have often alternated this week. The sale price is perhaps also very high considering that until Cooking mode is active the Stove card has no use in the game. If I sell the Stove card I will immediately buy more BETA packs.
Right now it is only possible to play the Farm mode of dCrops but soon the other game modes will be implemented and there will be new evaluations to make and new investment strategies to choose from. I have not yet chosen whether to specialize in one game mode or all three but about one thing I am sure: the fun will increase ;)
I still have 40 BETA packs to open but I have decided not to open them until all the game modes are active so I will wait until all the BETA cards can be used within the game and in the meantime I will not decrease my CROP POWER score and the rewards related just to CP.

Il 25 agosto 2022 è terminata la Beta Presale di dCrops che è un gioco di farming basato su NFT sviluppato e costruito sulla blockchain di Hive.
Con la fine della BETA presale Dcrops è entrato nella fase di sviluppo BETA e i giocatori hanno iniziato ad aprire i pacchi BETA. Anche io ho aperto 10 pacchi BETA dei 50 pacchi che ho acquistato durante la presale e nel mio precedente post ho mostrato le carte che ho trovato. Adesso ci sono molte più carte che possono essere utilizzate all'interno del gioco e che possono essere acquistate e vendute sul mercato.
Quando dCrops era in versione Alpha le carte seme utilizzabili erano in totale 25 e solo 5 carte seme potevano essere utilizzate durante una stagione. Adesso in ogni stagione ci sono 12 carte seme che possono essere utilizzate e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le 12 carte di tipo seme che è possibile utilizzare nella stagione attualmente in corso su dCrops che è l'estate.
Chi legge i miei posts sa che mi piace fare calcoli e valutazioni e in passato ho mostrato il criterio che ho scelto di seguire per selezionare le carte seme da comprare che si basa sul calcolo del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE.
Il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE indica il numero minimo di punti Shares ottenibile dall'utilizzo di una carta Seed durante una stagione per ogni token HIVE speso nell'acquisto della carta Seed.
I punti SHARES sono una importante moneta interna al gioco perchè permettono di entrare nella Leaderboard che ogni stagione distribuisce premi in token CROP in base al quantitativo di punti SHARES guadagnati da ogni giocatore durante una singola stagione di dCrops.
Per calcolare il rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE avevo creato diversi mesi fa una tabella con il mio foglio di calcolo. Oggi ho aggiornato quella tabella con l'aggiunta delle nuove carte BETA di tipo seme utilizzabili durante la stagione in corso (estate). Ho anche inserito nuovi campi come il campo per calcolare il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE nel caso di acquisto delle carte Seme utilizzando i token CROP come metodo di pagamento invece dell'utilizzo dei token SWAP.HIVE.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la tabella che ho aggiornato oggi con il calcolo del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE per ogni carta seme utilizzabile nella stagione in corso.
La prima informazione utile che è possibile ottenere guardando i dati nella tabella è che il prezzo in CROP token delle carte Seme è sempre superiore al prezzo in SWAP.HIVE tranne in un caso (Basil). Questo vuol dire che è più conveniente acquistare una carta utilizzando i token SWAP.HIVE invece dei token CROP.
Il miglior acquisto possibile oggi 10 settembre in base al rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE è la carta Rara Watermelon che ha un rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE uguale a 28.95. Questo significa che per ogni HIVE speso per acquistare una carta Watermelon otterrò 28.95 punti Shares. In base al rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE il peggior acquisto è la carta leggendaria Sunflower perchè il suo alto prezzo di mercato produce come risultato un valore del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE davvero basso: 0.25.
La carta leggendaria Sunflower è un ottima carta perchè ha due abilità:
- può essere piantata in due stagioni
- keeps producing till season ends + 10% chance No Cooldown
Ma è allo stesso tempo una carta troppo costosa e poco produttiva per il giocatore che è focalizzato sulla modalità di gioco Farm di dCrops. Con un quantitativo di 188 HIVE è possibile acquistare molte carte di tipo LAND e molte carte di tipo SEED più economiche e la produzione di punti Shares sarebbe enormemente maggiore ;)
Nota: il calcolo Punti SHARES/HIVE è particolarmente utile per i giocatori che hanno scelto di specializzarsi nella modalità Farm di dCrops. Il giocatore che vuole anche completare facilmente le Quests stagionali e che vorrà specializzarsi anche nelle nuove modalità di gioco (Cooking, Crafting, ...) quando saranno attive dovrà invece cercare di avere una collezione di NFT abbastanza varia e ampia.
My latest Quests reward
Oggi voglio condividere l'apertura dei forzieri che ho ricevuto come premio per aver completato le Quests stagionali della stagione primaverile.
Se sei un nuovo giocatore di dCrops ti ricordo che per ricevere la ricompensa delle quests stagionali devi completare tutte le quests e non solo parte di esse.
Per avere una maggiore probabilità di completare le quests senza essere costretto a premere sul tasto Reroll che ha un costo in token CROP continuo a seguire la strategia di non vendere tutti i prodotti agricoli (Crops) ottenuti dai miei raccolti. Cerco di conservare nel mio inventario almeno 4 Crops per ogni tipologia di crop e per ogni livello di qualità (1 stella, 2 stelle, 3 stelle).
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le Quests che ho ricevuto in questa stagione.
Questa settimana sono stato fortunato perchè completerò le quests facilmente. La mia strategia si è dimostrata ancora un volta utile perchè non ho utilizzato la funzione Reroll e ho completato la quest Sell 2 Beetroot solo perchè avevo conservato 2 beetroot di qualità due stelle nel mio inventario.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere quello che ho trovato nei 15 forzieri che ho aperto oggi.
Ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri:
- 12 Boosters
- 2 NFT Iron Ore (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 8.799 SWAP.HIVE)
- 1 NFT Stone (valore di mercato: 0.890 SWAP.HIVE)
Il valore totale stimato della ricompensa delle Quests è di 18.4880 HIVE = 10.46$
Considerazioni Finali
Al momento è possibile solo giocare alla modalità Farm di dCrops ma presto saranno implementate anche le altre modalità di gioco e ci saranno nuove valutazioni da fare e nuove strategie di investimento tra cui scegliere. Non ho ancora scelto se specializzarmi in una sola modalità di gioco o in tutte e tre ma su una cosa sono sicuro: il divertimento aumenterà ;)
Da tre giorni è possibile effettuare il Claimdrop della carta Promo Corn dalla sezione Shop di dCrops. Io con un totale di 50 pacchi BETA acquistati avevo il 25% di probabilità di ricevere la carta ma non sono stato fortunato. Sono invece stato molto fortunato nell'apertura dei miei primi 10 pacchi BETA perchè ho trovato la carta leggendaria Stove.
Ho deciso di testare il mercato e ho messo in vendita la mia carta Stove al prezzo più basso di mercato e spero che steemshiro non legga questo post altrimenti metterà lui il prezzo più basso del mercato dato che in questa settimana ci siamo spesso alternati. Il prezzo di vendita è forse molto alto anche considerando che fino a quando la modalità Cooking non sarà attiva la carta Stove non ha utilità nel gioco. Se venderò la carta Stove acquisterò subito altri pacchi BETA.
Ho ancora 40 pacchi BETA da aprire ma ho deciso di non aprirli fino a quando non saranno attive tutte le modalità di gioco e quindi aspetterò fino a quando tutte le carte BETA potranno essere utilizzate all'interno del gioco e nel frattempo non farò diminuire il mio punteggio CROP POWER e le ricompense collegate proprio al CP.
